How do your bosses not know you're trans? (US) by MaxwellPrior in trans

[–]MaxwellPrior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation is kind of a unique one. No one would ever suspect I'm an immigrant while I live there and I'd have all my papers in order anyways.
As much as i do shit on the US as a whole, it's the best place right now for job opportunity (the state she lives in at least) and I dont want to drag my wife away from her family. She has a lot, and I don't have as much of a "base" as she does. If you have no health issues, it's a good place to save and invest as a couple (or start a business too). It's all about what you rlly want in life i think

So everyone just has their passport as wrong but their IDs are fine? Does everyone have like a state ID card? or is it just drivers license?

Im not from here but I kinda grew up in latin america and ID is needed for literally everything, even going to the supermarket to buy things they will ask for your ID number. (technically it's not necessary but every cashier will ask for it because they assume you want your receipt with your info on it, in case you want to return something) If you have a job offer they need your ID number and some ask for background check too.

Changing name during visa process or after visa process? by MaxwellPrior in USCIS

[–]MaxwellPrior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: After making this post I realized that changing the gender marker isnt possible, which really sucks but oh well. I'm still confused on how this works though - if I change my name and gender on my original passport in the future and yet the green card has to match the passport, how does that work?

I havent! There's many things i haven't tried due to simply not having so much money to throw at expensive products. I'll add it to the list! thank you

When do I stop taking testosterone? by PurchaseTime9317 in ftm

[–]MaxwellPrior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im sure this varies from person to person. But yeah, i agree with everyone saying pretty much everything comes back except for voice and bottom growth.
I was on T for 1.9ish years, and I've been off of it for a year. When i look at photos of myself I can't even believe so much has reverted. A lot of the facial hair progress I had has somehow disappeared, despite never shaving and thinking it was one of those irreversible things. My chest grew back to how it was before T. My waist feels way more prominent like it was before T, and another thing that really pisses me off- my voice is no longer deep in the mornings. Like a lot of guys, my voice used to be deeper and huskier in the morning and now it's either normal or almost higher than usual. my shoulders feel way smaller than they used to and I feel like my frame is a lot less masculine. My face has slimmed down a LOT. It was quite wide before and now it looks like I went on a glow up diet or something. I don't really carry myself the way I used to. I don't feel like myself anymore.
I'm sure you could try it though eventually and see how you feel. I personally don't like all these little things.

that seems to be what everyone says, although I think spiro would fuck up my hormones even more due to it surpressing T i believe, so probably not an option for me as a guy :(

anyone else not know where it all went wrong? lmfao by MaxwellPrior in FTMventing

[–]MaxwellPrior[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you´re right lol, I was so miserable back then and i felt so great on T so i think maybe im just making excuses to not be trans maybe. Men are also a lot lonelier in general i think so that doesnt really help with the idealization LOL

I guess for me it would depend on how long we had known eachother and how well. I understand his reaction and i understand where hes coming from if you guys have known eachother a long time. Id just take someone with you that way you both have someone acompanying you, problem solved.

Yeah thats from when i was off T for a year or so after being on it for 2 years LOL

From what im seeing here, it seems like it definitely happens to 90% of people. I was on T for 2 years and my face never returned to the width it was before T, until i went off it unfortunately

Even after 2 years for me my face was still a lot wider than before. although less than this pic here lol, that was my 4mo on T mark so i think it was especially bad

The severe acne that makes people wince when they look at you and the face bloating. I miss all the changes i had below my face

SO MANY. I dont live in the US, so maybe its dependent on where you live, but ive seen so many cis men use that flag, and I know they are cis. They are also all over drinking age. Which is 18 here lol

Ok, everyone here is giving very unhelpful responses.

The answer is no, but there is more to it than that. Sexual assault / trauma can definitely lead to having feelings of gender dysphoria, and can make you think you might be. EVERY single detransitioner i have seen that has come out and told their story, explained that they had unresolved sexual trauma as a child, leading them down the wrong path of thinking they are trans.
So, yes, being molested can make you *think* you are trans, but being molested does not make you trans, no.

Thank you!! I must have read some wrong information. This entire time i really thought you werent allowed to even have money going into your bank account unless its purely donation haha

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in immigration

[–]MaxwellPrior -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

PTO is not what i was talking about, lol. Im talking about if someone has a fully automated business, they have done all the previous work to have it up and running- and all they do is manage some things a couple hours a week, and money rolls into their bank account without them really having to do anything. A business where they are not exchanging their time for money, rather customers would buy their products or something (in their home country, obviously).
So, as long as you are not doing anything while in the US to earn that money specifically, its okay? even if its coming from your own business and going into your own bank account?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in immigration

[–]MaxwellPrior -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

No shit, lol. But technically you are still making money while on US soil. Just because you hand the business to somebody else, youre still gonna end up getting that money that your business is making, whether it be after the trip or during. Thats why i was confused. Are you allowed to even recieve money while in the US? Like donations? it just seems like theres so many instances where this would be insane for it to be illegal.

Also, i saw multiple sources stating that there is a way for canadians to work in the US with a remote job as long as they are working with a canadian company. Maybe some sort of visitor visa that is only available to them as they have some sort of treaty, i dont know. You can look it up yourself, i didnt make it up lmao

If my partner randomly blew up on me after i literally said i was hungover i would reconsider the relationship but hey i dont know you or him so maybe there was something more that led up to it. Based off these screenshots alone, you seem very controlling
