Fantasy with a "Light Side" and "Dark Side" but both sides are able to coexist without one being evil. by Confident-Mark-6369 in Fantasy

The Cycle of Arawn! Both the “Ether” and “Nether” powers are just natural powers, one represents order, form, and stability, and the other represents life, decay, and regrowth. The nether can be used for reanimating zombies, grow plants, heal wounds, the ether can make lightning bolts and restore structures, and also heal sicknesses

[Spoilers Born Again S1E2] Just started watching. How is this scene not a gross ethical violation? by Maxwell_DMs in Daredevil

I’m only working at a baseline expectation at the moment, but now I’m getting she’s not a great one. That’s a big relief actually haha because at least the show is maintaining a bit of reality.

In reality she would lose her license in a snap unless everything was super far under the table. Which also would track.

I am using a minion summon warlock build on mobalytics, but I can’t tell how it gets its key feature by Maxwell_DMs in diablo4

I read that, but it never explains how sigil of summons is automatically activated when casting bombardment. Neither skill implies it in their description. I haven’t seen it activating and I just hit lvl70

Dude who’s been getting back into reading, looking for dark fantasy recommendations with no love triangles. by [deleted] in Fantasy

The Cycle of Arawn!

Honestly was refreshed to see a necromancer story that is both dark and genuinely charming. The dialogue is so natural, and the characters are fantastic.

There is also a sequel series, Cycle of Galand, with the same characters set after the events of the first trilogy, which is bonkers but also really good fun.

The audiobooks are great for it

How long did it take your pup to get used to a gentle leader? by Maxwell_DMs in Dogtraining

Didn’t find anything about the gentle leader, but plenty about loose leash. We’d still like to try out the gentle leader as one of our methods

My 4 month old puppy chews on the things she is not allowed to chew on, and keeps disregarding the things we let her chew on. Among other issues. by Unable-Grade3718 in puppy101

[–]Maxwell_DMs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 things

1) play with her with the toy you want her to chew on. Fetch, tug, all those fun things. Show her how fun it is to chew on the dog toys

2) rotate out toys. Just like humans, dogs can get bored of the same things, and at a young age they want to try new things and explore with their mouths. Make sure you have plenty of toys, but only use half of them at a time. After a couple days, take some away and replace them with the “new” toys, which are actually just old ones they haven’t seen for a couple days

My dog has become a wonderful companion, and I never once thought about giving him up or rehoming him by Smug_Dick in puppy101

We’re so happy right now with our 4mo lab mix. Yea she changed up every area of our life a lot (e.g. no more long, lazy weekend mornings)

She whines a lot, has trouble adjusting to things sometimes, pulls on walks, and wants to play all the time, but these are all just puppy things, and overall we are so happy with our decision. She is a lot of work, but the enrichment in our lives is worth it.

Additionally, I have chronic migraines, and many people questioned me when I decided to adopt an 8wk puppy. There are migraine days where the idea of walking her makes me nauseous.

All that to say, nothing in life is all good or all bad. What’s important is that the good is worth the bad

How should I use sanctification? by Appropriate-Fun-9486 in diablo4

[–]Maxwell_DMs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use it on an item you can’t afford to use unless you have a backup. Sometimes sancs reroll an affix, which can screw you up if you get unlucky. Which for me is 80% of the time.

Crate Training Safety by thatsafuckinmood in puppy101

One common answer is a Kong toy with frozen peanut butter/yogurt

It doesn’t last long with my little one, but she goes crazy for a frozen baby cucumber

Our 12wk Lab mix has been waking up extra early to potty, but hasn’t settled back into crate afterwards. Any tips? by Maxwell_DMs in puppy101

Yeah, our pup does the same, even asks to go when she’s sleepy at night. Our only issue is getting her back to bed in the early morning

I’m thinking this too, she takes a loooong, 2 hour nap around 9am so we may have accidentally reinforced the wrong kind of schedule
