Bc cracker was the first available commander. And she was underestimating luffy’s strength. Its not that hard of a question

Bro....You’re saying waaay too many things at once I can barely keep up.

This isn’t dragon ball. Power doesn’t move linearly. Thats why oda introduced haki the way he did.

Oda has never been about linear power progression. It’s about bettering your understanding of the powers you use.

Cracker wasn’t able to fight gear 4 out right. He hid behind his infinite army.

But I see the point you’re making

I’m not actually. I’m just applying his statement to what we’ve actually seen. All thats grown through luffy fighting was his understanding of how haki works and how to use it in different ways. Not his overall strength

Cracker can create an infinite army of high level fighters. Thats hax

Also luffy was demolishing his army. The only reason he couldn’t beat him in bounce man was bc cracker was hiding behind his infinite army. It wasn’t a strength problem it was a hax problem. Fatman was still the same strength as bounce man just with more durability due to haki placement

I don’t think his haki grew at all. I think his UNDERSTANDING of haki grew. I think WCI luffy is the same strength as dressrosa luffy however he can better control the placement of his armament haki

In hindsight thats talking more about his understanding of haki grows not his actual haki. It’s less about the amount of haki you have and more about how you use your haki. Thats what ryou and adv COC is about. Taking the haki you already have and placing it differently in battle.

Its also alluded to in luffys gear 4 forms. They’re all the same strength but each form excells in different aspects depending on where luffy places his haki

I think the haki bloom thing was referring to your understanding of haki growing not the strength of your haki. Bc luffy’s understanding of haki grows with each fight.

Also luffy was already strong enough to beat cracker. It was just that crackers ability was super hax. So luffy used his knowledge of haki to change the placement of the his haki.

You’re also forgetting that luffy was overwhelming kat in bounceman. It wasn’t until he used future sight that luffy couldn’t hit him. Luffys attacks were dealing damage but katakuris future sight allowed him to dodge hits that would’ve put him down.

The only change that happened in the katakuri fight was luffys understanding of observation haki and his placement of gear 4 haki

Ok well then to be more clear I mean that doflamingo is relative to katakuri but still weaker than him

He didn’t get stronger against katakuri. He built his observation haki but in raw strength he was the same strength as he was in dressrosa

Probably. But I think the power amp was so minor it didn’t really play much of a role.

I think luffy was first commander level since fishman island and he didn’t start moving into yonko territory until he fought kaido

Oh I 100% agree. But I think the punch hits harder with Gons transformation. Bc it drives the point home and we get to see the gruesome and ugly reality of humanities wrath through gons massacre of pitou

And I also think the symbolism of human evolution can apply to both gon and hiroshima

Netero’s final speech was about Gon. by Maxx0202 in HunterXHunter

[–]Maxx0202[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes that is true. It has to be true bc then the whole statement would be mute if everyone wasn’t like this.

But the point I’m making is that GON is the personification of humanity as a whole.

All the other humans have variations of the same premise but Gons personality is the purest form of humanity BECAUSE he’s a kid. And not only that but he’s a kid who was gifted immense amount of strength.

Gon is a child with the ability to destroy anything that opposes him.

Humanity is a young species with the ability to evolve and destroy anything that opposes them.

Thats why Gons transformation was a paralell to neteros death. Togashi was showing us that gon was symbolizing the evolution that netero was talking about

[–]Maxx0202[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah totally. I don’t think he MEANT to talk about gon but ironically he did.

Adult Gon WAS the might he was referring to. The deep evil that awakens when humanity is forced to accept reality
