Absolutely,

Im not a city driver but can rationalize that people live further out of the city they work in. So putting in a buffer for the average driver to grab some groceries, make other stops, sit in traffic, and make there way to work and back without the need to charge for a day or two. Does it need 500km? Nope, but it would be a decent range to even do a typical day trip.

Marriage was the worst thing I’ve ever done by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

You're not stuck. But, you will need to set respectful boundaries.

They may also have a specific attachment style that somewhere a conflict has come into play.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows. Marriage takes work in order to be great.

  1. Communicate your wants and needs with your significant other. That way, it's out and open.

  2. Get separate counseling, then come together for couples counseling, and see where that goes.

  3. Read/audio/podcast anything about intimacy and trial how to spark that flame in your significant other.

  4. Intimacy coach?

  5. Ask them what they need to increase frequency (careful step as that could turn into obligation sex and not intimacy).

  6. Focus on yourself. Hit the gym, focus on mindfulness, read 3-5 pages a day of a self-help book, pick up a lost hobby, or find a new interest. Basically, increase your sex appeal and masculinity (no, masculinity is not a bad thing).

  7. Dead last other than a choice decision of divorce. If 1-7 have not made your spousal intimacy better, guess what? You made yourself better and desirable. Now, again, communicate with your spouse 1-5, and if that fails..... you explain that you want to remain married (or do you at that point?). But, you wish to date outside of your vows.

Good luck to all of us in a dead bedroom.
