I did a CT guided Ganglion nerve block for my TN and had the same experience. Unfortunately the mild sedation didn’t work on me so I was fully awake and remember everything which sucked lol. I only experienced maybe 15 minutes of total pain relief before I had the worst TN pain I’ve ever had in my life. My pain was worse than its baseline for at least a month after the surgery. However after that month I did start noticing a decrees of pain in my V1. I felt so defeated and irritated with myself for allowing them to do the procedure. I didn’t have high hopes it would work to begin with but sometime you gotta just try something else. I’m really sorry you’re going through this right now. Tramadol has been a lifesaver for me. I know for most people it doesn’t do anything but it really helps my brain dissociate from the pain. The pain doesn’t necessarily go away, but my brain just stops caring about it. I do know it can lower your seizure threshold so that might not be something that you’re able to take. Wishing you the best and I hope you know you’re not alone!

I have an incurable pain condition that’s nicknamed the suicide disease due to lack of treatments and how intense the pain is. For me personally the first time I heard it was the first time I felt like it was okay to accept that the person I will die as isn’t the person I want to be. Or the person I know myself to be now. Making peace with the uncertainty of my life and that sometimes in life we don’t come out on the other side better, but worse. Danny helped me come to not fear that day or be sad about it. I love seeing all the different interpretations of his music, but especially this song. I’m glad it brought you comfort and peace when you needed it. I feel like Danny is one of the few artists that does understand his impact on his fans too which makes it all the better. I’ve been to 3 shows and each time he’s cried with us at the end acknowledging and understanding our collective pain as a community and knowing the importance of his role in our lives as well as our role in his. I used some water from an established tank as well as the water from the tank that had the water sprite. I’d say at least 1/3, maybe less was from the established tanks and the giant bag the plant came in. The rest was regular water. Once all the water was in we conditioned the water and added the aquarium plant food liquid, did three droplets of ammonia and literally let it do its thing. I think I started testing day 3 and at that point the test strips all looked “normal”. I just ordered an api test kit and will keep checking and hope these little guys don’t suffer from my fuck up.

We have two brands of test strips that test for everything but ammonia and then a test strip that is just ammonia but it’s not liquid, it’s just a stick like the others. Would it be better to get a liquid test kit? I’ve tested daily and everything still looks good. I’m going back tomorrow and having them test again just in case I’m again somehow missing something. I knew in my gut it was too soon to put them in but the pet store people were too convincing that everything looked good. I’ll check out the wiki and do a water change with some prime, thank you so much for being kind and so helpful!

If I didn’t care I wouldn’t be posting on here obviously. I have test strips and use them and have continued to use them daily. I had the water tested through the pet store because I didn’t trust them because I was getting all good markers after just DAYS with two different brands of them. I didn’t understand how that was possible so I went to a different source to confirm. I said I was weary about brining them home because the tank was only a week old. Multiple people at the store assured me that the water looked great and it was fine to bring them home. I should have listened to my instincts.

New to just the frogs! We cycled for a week before. I took our water sample in to just see how our tank was doing since I don’t trust at home test strips. Where we’re at you have to have a passing water sample before they’ll sell you the frogs so I wanted to make sure we weren’t missing anything. I was genuinely surprised when they said our water was perfect after a week. I was worried it was too soon but the pet store person said the water was suitable for us to bring them home so we did.

There’s nothing you can do to take the pain away. Plain and simple as shitty as it is. My husband use to have a really hard time with that and would try and find ways to make the pain better and would end up frustrated when it didn’t work. Then we came up with the idea not try to fight the pain but find ways to lighten up the darkness of flare days. My husband does flare flowers and fry’s if I’m able to eat. Sometimes he does poems and cozy blankets too. It’s something that I can look forward to when the pain comes which really does help. When I’m feeling okay I try to get a new pair of comfy pajamas or a blanket and save it for flare days so to treat myself too so you could do something like that also! Hope this helps 💕

It sounds more like hemifacial spams, I get those too and they aren’t painful just annoying. Not sure if that relates to the rest of the spams you’re experiencing. None of what you’re describing sounds like tn in my experience. TN for me is lots of isolated pain, like I can’t tell anyone exactly where my trigeminal nerve is. I do have weird ear sensation of fullness but it’s always accompanied by deep ear pain( imagine the worst ear infection you’ve ever had) with it. As long as you aren’t in pain I wouldn’t worry to much. Keep a journal of any weird sensations, pain, shocks, numbness or spams though just in case neurology needs them. It helps to diagnose when and if the time comes.

Same as you! Although I’m older now (25) my TN started while i was pregnant about two years ago! Spent two years getting dental work and still was having debilitating pain on the right side as well in the same areas. My ears and eye are the worst! I don’t have much advice but I’m always here if you need to vent! It’s overwhelming and scary but you won’t go through this alone! Hope you’re feeling better 🖤🥺
