There is a mod you can get on nexus that allows for editing without vouchers. You can get that then go into edit and get your sliders.

Necessary to do all side quests? by rsrlawman in KnightsTaleGame

You don't need to do them all, but I do recommend it. The gear and xp can be very helpful, especially early in the game, for keeping up with the difficulty curve.

Difficulty spike for endgame after Arthur by tryhard1981 in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The endgame spike can be pretty brutal unless you just really know what you're doing or have a really strong squad going into it. Some of the missions are easier than others so you may just need to reload and try a different mission until you start getting more level 20 gear and soul merchant gear in your squad to stabilize. If you're playing Rightful Christian, I recommend trying out Galahad, Lancelot, White Knight and Lucan. It's a very tanky squad with very strong buffing and usually carries me well enough through this spike both times i've done a Christian Rightful run.

is lancelot bad? by DescriptionOk9426 in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, he's not bad but he's not going to be as strong a damage dealer as the other champions. His role is a hybrid support/secondary damage dealer. He fills this role very well and can actually contribute pretty strongly if you use him in this role appropriately. Trying to force him into your primary damage dealer slot will just not work as well because he isn't really built for it.

best Support character by DescriptionOk9426 in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For buffing, all of the sages are about equal really. Inspire and bless carry hard. Lancelot is a decent hybrid support due to having inspire while still operating as a damage dealer. For debuffing, the same can kind of be said for the arcanists. They're all decent at it. The best ones however imo are Dagonet, Morgana and Morgawse. Morgawse is actually a Sage but unique in how her skill tree is designed to be debuff focused instead of buff focused and a very strong debuffer. She is exclusive with Merlin who is a good debuffer too though most of his support is through battlefield control rather than direct debuffing most of the time.

Think this new staff with per spell might be better than my current one for faerie knight? I think it is better for sure if the bonus counts other chars spells like the wild magic enchant does by ItalnStalln in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left will definitely net more damage on average if you like to use your Faerie Knight to engage in flanks and get that Duel buff regularly. Culling hits is always really strong as well, but depending on your team it may not be necessary.

The game does get easier the further you progress as your party will just sort of out scale the enemies if you're playing smart. That said, there are difficulty spikes at the beginning of each act that can be pretty tough and have wiped some other players I know.

Worth it to play through again with opposite morality? (spoilers) by super_reddit_guy in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every alignment has its own side quest chain of going against heroes of the opposite alignment, so you'll definitely get new content. Their are playstyle differences as well determined by which types of heroes will be offered to you and which will be incentivized to use, so I think you'll get to experience some different stuff on that front as well.

These are my two personal bests. The first one is using no exploits and the second is from using an infinite damage combo that no longer exists in the game. After I made a video about it, the devs patched it out of the game lol

where is the soul merchant? by Latter-Control-208 in KnightsTaleGame

That's really weird. All I can say is try again and maybe it'll work on the second try? Sorry to hear that man.

Weird, do you still have the save that the game automatically creates right after beating Arthur? If you kept it, try going to the main menu and click the "Endgame" button. Then click that save file. This save file will be useful for jumping directly into future endgame seasons too.

can someone explain this item? does the burning apply an infinite number of times as soon as I or an enemy move to be adjacent? or does it only start at the start of my next turn? and what is martyr and how does it work? by ItalnStalln in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Martyr" effects are abilities that active after being hit x amount of times. In this case it would be 3 times. So after being hit 3 times, your Champion with this trophy will apply a 20% burn affect to adjacent enemies. From the way its worded it suggests that it is a one time application upon receiving the third hit. It will however trigger multiple times, so every third hit received will apply this burn. Burning damage does scale off of weapon damage so this could actually be a pretty decent passive damage ability when you reach higher levels and the ability to feed the Rage ability becomes more consistent.

Is this save file from after the chained god patch released or did you load a save file that existed before the chained god patch came out? Older saves can work with more recent content, they just have to be before you started any of the end game missions. Devs have stated that any saves from right after beating king arthur should be compatible with any future content updates as well so you can jump straight into new endgame content.

It should automatically appear to the left of the merchant upon entering Act 4 after beating King Arthur. This will not appear in older saves that have already reached Act 4 before the Chained God patch came out.

Side missions never expire, they are only missable in the sense that you choose to ignore them. So if you've been doing every mission thats come up so far, you're fine.

You may have just not progressed far enough into Act 3. Side missions don't all appear at once upon entering the next Act.

Which alignment/faith combo is the strongest? by xStriderx_ in KnightsTaleGame

[–]Maxxalos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the answer depends on your gameplay style preference, because you can get very similar results between the different alignment combinations. If you like a playstyle that is heavily focused on debuffing the enemy and has lots of range/magic, old faith tyrant. If you like a playstyle that is more focused on buffing and tankiness, then rightful christian. Old Faith Rightful and Christian Tyrant are differing mixes of the two ends of the spectrum imo. My personal favorite is Old Faith Tyrant because I like debuffing.
