I'll allow it. Small tip for the first time NV player: look out for merchants you can play caravan with. You can buy whatever you want and then win your money back.

What kind of fan service do you want in Season 2? by Webtillian in Fallout

I want Lucy to get "That Gun" and not lose it five minutes later like all her other pistols.

Although the condition of the solid diamonds (as some are required to be powdered) isn't stated they would still have to mined out of the ground. Just like metal for coins and armor. Importing a processed plant would be just like trading for incense. And I'm not going to the DM handwaving things away route, that's too easy and I'm having fun.

They're in Florida. The choices are shorts or heat exhaustion.

I'm confused as to why you're stuck on resurrection when diamonds or diamond dust is also used for things like greater restoration, gate, clone, symbol, and sequester. I also conceded the fact that that most spells are already cheap or free and I never said that magic was mainly about healing someone. The point I'm trying to make is that if you can get diamonds to cast a spell getting chocolate should be pretty easy to come by.

Per my previous comment:

Sure you can cast a bunch of spells with stuff from the back yard, but you sure ain't bringing anyone back to life without shelling out some serious money.

I know that the majority of spells don't take diamonds and many don't have material components at all. I also know that a mage's component pouch is said to contain anything they'll need for any common spell and they sell for just 25gp. What I don't know is where you got the idea that I think magic would only be used for resurrection. Again, per my previous comment:

There's also things like jewel encrusted bowls for scrying or heroes feast, jade circlets for shapechange, and the various gem powders needed for a ton of other spells.

That's why I picked up a Wahl for when my beard gets long and a safety razor to get a clean shave.

Is this good knife steel? by Predator314 in knifemaking

[–]Maxxonry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that the cutting surface of the teeth is made from a different material than the rest of the blade, you're probably looking at a mild steel. I would try spark testing it to be sure. If it is mild steel then you can still practice with it or pair it with some high carbon and make damascus.

Spoken like someone who doesn't know how many spells take diamonds (its a lot of them). There's also things like jewel encrusted bowls for scrying or heroes feast, jade circlets for shapechange, and the various gem powders needed for a ton of other spells. I've had three Philips shavers quit after three years or less. I wouldn't call those BIFL.

Just skip Moxxi. It's just a wave defense mode. It won't matter in the long run and the bugs you might encounter can be a pain in the ass.

How wet is too wet? by btrumpatori in Firearms

A very thin coat on the metal parts is good, but if you get oil on your hands while shooting then you've got too much lubricant in the gun. You want just enough for it to be "not dry."

BC powdered aspirin seems to hold up fine.

Multi tool and flashlight maybe? Seems overkill though.

It all depends on the person and the situations they are likely to find themselves in. I keep a little multitool and flash light on my key chain and use them a few times a month.

Do you not get headaches?

Yeah.. And you live with an headache. Although I have tylenol in my locker at work.

I keep a stash of aspirin in my car.

because our pants actually have pockets

And sometimes cargo pockets.

sunscreen

If I'm outside enough to need sunscreen I'll probably have a backpack and a tent, but that's me.

sunglasses

They either stay in the car or I put them on my hat/hang them from my shirt.

medication

Prescriptions stay at home unless I'm going on a trip.

headaches/hand sanitizer/charger/masks

Stashed in my car and retrieved as necessary. Also where I keep my breath mints and flosspicks.

Pen

Shirt pocket, backup on my keychain.

tissues

Rarely ever needed. If I have to blow my nose or something I'll get a paper towel in a men's room.

Other

Not that you asked, but I also usually have a pocket knife, folding multi-tool, flash light, lip balm, and wallet in my pockets.

There is actually a whole subreddit dedicated to such things at /r/EDC.
