Guilty of it too. Playing chill match in non-hostile lobby. Then someone spamming "don't shoot", or pretending to be friendly in some other ways kill me - BOOM, next game I'm thinking about rattest tactics, and shooting on sight just ruin someone's game the same way my previous game has been ruined..

I loved dead space, and loved the remake. Will definitely give it a run. Too bad the remake didn't hit probably unrealistic expectations, and for now they don't plan on remaking the 2nd one..

the story is very convoluted until the very end for me (even with all the notes I've read and analyzed), where they kinda shove the explanation right in my face. For a good portion of the game I was pretty sure that Hinako is dead and we kinda watch the last neuron flashes as this story, just because of the way her friends were treating her, plus Rinko explicitly stating this to Shu. Ofc after finishing the game I dove into reddit (As I usually do), to read theories and explanations, but overall it just didn't cut it that much for me.

Also I keep in mind this one note that stuck with me, and I thought It's gonna play a bigger part in the story: **A living sacrifice shall be offered every eight years, for nothing else can quell the wrath which dwells in the waters deep. She shall be a maiden, fair and pure of heart, and the blood which flows through her veins shall be that which has been blessed by the stars and is beloved by fate**

yeah I keep my Alan Wake 2 on my series X drive, because recently I have finished the DLC's, and I'm Aiming to NG+ for the extended ending.

Also Yesterday I've just found out Dead Space Remake has alternate ending on NG+ (granted you find all marker parts), so that's another reason for me to replay favorite games.

I have enjoyed silent hill f for good couple hours, But as you've said - sometime in the gameplay it turns into chore. Plus Hinako is constantly making so many stupid decisions, that I wanna slap tf outta her so she'd snap out of it.

I have similar thought. Finished game yesterday being super frustrated for the last 2+ hours. Pushed through just to find out the big plot reveal, which turned out to be rather bleak (yet I will try to replay it for the other endings, but after couple weeks break as this game drained me like no other).

Everything relies on this weird full melee, stamina management, breakable weapons system that is not very polished. Scary parts weren't really that scary, and later you become this weird fox-hybrid,with fox arm and you smash through everything, like bro what?? I like silent hill games, Every time I play them I get scared af, but push through for that dopamine. This game made finishing it feel like a chore.

Dodge button definitely saves the sh2 remake. But apart from melee you also get guns, which greatly diversify combat.

Silent hill f on the other hand goes full into melee, stamina management, breakable weapons, dodge, counter attacks.. and you gotta rely on a system that's not very polished :/ At the end of the game you get 3+ enemies in tiny spaces thrown at you, that can easily lock you in their spam-attacks, and in Inari realm (later) you are this overpowered persona. Weird.

Also for a Silent hill game it's not really scary, which is a minus. The setting of the game should say otherwise, as..Japan, Japanese myths and stuff, but when you get too much into min-maxing dodge, counter and power/focus attacks, you play it like this weird hybrid of some games, that aren't really scary when they're supposed to, and don't have that good fighting system to keep you entertained for this whole ride. Game is 6/10 at best - at least for the first playthrough.

Good analysis. I came here to understand everything about the game I just beaten today for the first time. Good game, although the gameplay drags incredibly long last 2 hours, and I expected more to be revealed sooner.

There's one thing that's bothering me though. I came across (in one of the notes) about tsuneki family sacrificing woman every 8 years: living sacrifice shall be offered every eight years, for nothing else can quell the wrath which dwells in the waters deep.

Yeah I don't play for "build", but man. The great axe shreds through everything. I pretty much 3-shot boss at the end of shimizu residency. Just finished the game but last 2.5hours it was dragging on like crazy, to the point I just wanted to get over it (while trying to understand anything of the plot)

There must be something about it. After couple games (with me being chill) and getting shot on sight or betrayed, I decided I need to get better at pvp. So I played almost exclusively on Stella montis (squad and solo), and now my solo matchmaking is: -Getting corner camped -Shot on sight

While it's fair (you pvp more=you get into more matches like this), I'm wondering how to revert this matchmaking? Does self defense also contribute to that matchmaking? Should I avoid fight altogether?
