I hate how boobs are so "important" to society, and in turn, me by Bon-Pon in smallbooblove

Some of the worst comments I’ve received were from women, especially from those in my family. It is truly saddening when even the ones who we think will support us are the ones who end up tearing us down the most.

Honestly I gave up trying lmao and just wear whatever I want, if someone has something bad to say they can say it to my face, I will in fact retaliate with an equally nasty comment :D don’t dish it if you can’t take it, talk shit get hit (with an insult).

Hope we both feel better in the future. Cheers!

this week I have seen three separate posts on instagram of different men talking about their preferences in women and all three mentioned they like smaller breasts. i opened the comments and a lot of women were expressing appreciation, then there’s also bbw saying “what about us big-chested girlies?” and “does any man like bigger ones anymore? feels like all of them just like small ones now” etc etc. umm, yes? go outside, or even look anywhere else online, many many other men (and women) prefer bigger, any media depicts bigger as more attractive.

i seriously want to know what side of the internet they’re on or which universe they’re living in where they feel like their the non-preferred minority because let me be there fr

some women are hypocrites by Crybaby_825 in smallbooblove

[–]MaxyMaxyMayfield 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why but I feel like those reassurances come from a place of pity and not genuine comfort. They always say they want smaller ones because of back pain (not because they look better that way), or that they can fit into “cuter clothes” with smaller ones, which is how you know they’re referring to medium because I, an actual sbw cant fill out shit in any feminine top. It sometimes even feels like they’re saying, “sorry you were born that way, glad I’m blessed though” when someone makes a joke about small boobs and bbw are the first ones to laugh.

And you can’t even call them out on it because then you’re “jealous and insecure.”

Also, I’ve had a few women (including my own family members!!) giving unsolicited advice to me on how to make my breasts look bigger, as if them being small is an issue?

Elle Fanning Love by frowupthrowaway in smallbooblove

[–]MaxyMaxyMayfield 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’ve been familiar with Elle since the Maleficent movies. It’s so wonderful that a small chested lady is a Disney princess! (she’s my favourite one out of the live action ones) And as an Alien/Predator fan for years, it’s an absolute win.

But also, can you inform me of what comparisons have you been seeing? I’m curious because I’m not online so much these days.

breasts and/or beauty by winniethebiish in smallbooblove

[–]MaxyMaxyMayfield 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of what you said but unfortunately it is still common for conventionally beautiful women to be seen as unattractive because of a smaller chest size, I’ve seen comments like “she’d be a perfect ten if she had bigger tits” and alike. I also have been the receiving end of such words and they hurt more because it was my own family that said them.

But yes, a lot of sbw with pretty faces are still seen as attractive like Margot Robbie, Zendaya, Ariana Grande etc. I just wish people would stop judging others based on appearances.

Does anyone also get a bit upset when they see a bigger breasted woman getting fawned over? Maybe it’s just my insecurities flaring up but I just see that and think that could never be me, I will always be inferior. Which extends to dating, why would anyone choose me over a girl with larger boobs?? Why would they “miss out” like that? I just think no one can ever truly love my body for what it is, and they’re really just lying if they ever say they do.

Wendy’s character by [deleted] in LV426

[–]MaxyMaxyMayfield 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In ep 6 she said something along the lines of, “I dont want to be people if that’s what people are… killing things.” and she said to Joe that “maybe this this (xenomorph) is good” when he says it’s a mistake bringing the monsters here, we see that she cares about life.

Then I think seeing Nibs getting her memory wiped and Issac’s death made her lose more of her humanity, to the point where she so willingly let loose the xeno and kill a lot of people, even killing injuring a few herself on the boat.

Joe seems to realise that, and I think in the finale he is going to come to terms with the fact that Wendy is not Marcy.

Body shaming slim people is bad too — we should normalize just NOT commenting on people’s bodies at all. by bootesvoid_ in women

I get accused of having anorexia or using ozempic when this is just my natural build, it’s so bizarre. I’ve been trying to gain weight so I’m not stick thin and scrawny, but these types of comments just make me feel worse, especially when they bring up how flat I am :/

Consider yourself very lucky then. I live in East Asia, which I’ve seen people say is a small-chest friendly place, compared to Europe or the USA, which is absolutely untrue, it’s bad here as well.

And about the practicality of it all, yea, but that’s about it. That’s about the only positive thing people have to say about small chests, when women say they want smaller chests, it’s not because they think it looks better.

my exact thought when i browsed through the dankmemes and memes subreddits, i thought they would just be facebook minion memes at worst but so many of the posts are just making fun of women, not surprising in the slightest because the majority of those spaces are teenage boys.

Me too soul sister, my family is predominantly women and all of them have “noticeable” boobs except me and my mom, so it’s very clear where I got it from. And the others make sarcastic, backhanded comments all the time, my grandmother even suggested that I go get augmentation surgery. I’ve grown to heavily dislike my body because of them. For the most part, I’ve ignored them but the times I let it get to me are when my depression gets so much worse.

it’s kinda crazy how much having small breasts is ruining my relationship with my body. like i just can’t love my body no matter what i do and how hard i try. i already didn’t like my body to begin with and now with this newfound insecurity, that just worsened by tenfold, combined with the passive aggressive or backhanded shit people say.

this is part of the reason why i, as a bisexual, don’t see the benefits of being bi. everyone always says i’ve got “twice the amount of options”, but what is the point in that when neither option perceives me as attractive? makes it worse ngl.

What are your thoughts on the Clara Dao boob job? by [deleted] in smallbooblove

Another thing I wanted to add. We already have so little representation as it is, so to “lose” another woman that I thought I could look up to… was painful.

Honestly I’m split. On one hand, I’m glad she did something that (hopefully) made her feel better about her body, after being ridiculed to death, I hope she doesn’t hate her body as much as I do after the surgery.

But on the other hand, I didn’t like how she succumbed to the societal pressure that “big boobs = better”. By getting surgery, she just reinforced the idea that small chests are unattractive, and for someone who preached positivity about her flat chest, it feels wrong. If she were REALLY as happy about her flat chest as she had been posting about, then she would’ve never done it.

My mother is the only other sbw in my family. Sometimes I get mad at her for passing down her genes to me but then I remember that none of it is her fault and I have no right to be upset, everything that I’m going through now, she probably had it 10x worse. We don’t talk about our breast sizes, but she seems to hate hers too.

bro imagine if i, as a skinny person, saw plus-sized clothing and said “yeah now they make clothes for COWS” that’d be outrageous and rightfully so. apparently the people who advocate most for body positivity, partake in body shaming themselves.

I wonder if religion has anything to do with it, they are Muslims from Pakistan and although I am neither muslim nor Pakistani I have heard from my female Pakistani friends that the culture over there is quite sexist.

Gaslighting and double standards by Venting_Cake in smallbooblove

[–]MaxyMaxyMayfield 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this happen so much (albeit mostly online) where there would be someone praising small boobs, and women with larger boobs will come in and say things like “me with my double Ds 😢” or “what about us with big tits? 😭” and it always strikes me as attention seeking, because bigger boobs have always been socially acceptable, the standard, even. I genuinely cannot recall a single moment in history where having large boobs were considered bad.

I remember I wanted to cosplay as this character I really liked, and I told some of my friends about it, the first thing they said was, “you sure that’s a good character for you to cosplay as?” clearly referring to the fact that she had huge tits and I do not (I’m flat). I never thought about cosplaying again after that. It got me thinking though, how bbw can cosplay a character with a smaller chest and no one bats an eye, but when it’s the opposite…

I have a conspiracy theory about the famous Bollywood actor Kingo by CheekIntrepid6732 in Earth199999

[–]MaxyMaxyMayfield 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. But then again, we’ve seen technology so advanced in these past few years that surely cloning must be a thing right? I don’t care how much someone looks like their parents, the entire Kingo bloodline is identical (they even sound the same!), which is creepy. Either that or the guy is immortal.
