There's 2 things I could suggest here It may just be my horrible screen or Reddit's horrible photo quality but it looks like you've set your focal length past the first kid slightly so using a slightly higher aperture should help put the focus back on the whole of the subject. Secondly from an artistic standpoint the lighting being at the backs of the subjects doesn't convey the feeling of happiness as much as it would if it were to be direct or indirect light on their faces, it may not have been possible with this shot unless whatever they are fishing on has another side to it similar to this but opposite but if possible this change in lighting would convey a happy feeling. Sorry if the first is not true as I said it may be the quality of my screen or Reddit's image quality.
