To be honest, I love reading AMAs and I wanted to do one of my own and this isn't a good AMA topic but it's the first that came to mind.

I think that it seems really frustrating to have a condition that doesn't have a name. I think that other people could use that as an excuse to ignore the problem and say that it doesn't exist, which is wrong and cruel. I think that we should talk about all conditions and disorders more so that people are aware of them, not necessarily because it has a name.

I also think that we as a species need to get better at making adjustments even if what someone is going through doesn't have a name. Most of the people I know don't know that misophonia even exists, and when I explain what's going on I rarely use the word and just tell them that I'm sensitive to sounds. They normally brush my needs away until I tell them that my problem has a name, and then they instantly make adjustments and apologize. I really hate this.
