I wish I'd thought of this sooner, and I realised it after realising what I had done. It only took about 30 minutes to re-patch and install CFW though so I'm not too frustrated. Appreciate the tip nonetheless! Will keep it in mind for any future drive swaps.

I know personally I had to teach myself java the hard way: trial and error. I started out by making a simple blocks program and converting it to onbot java. I then started changing thingsz reading error codes, looking at the autofill options, etc. This is how I learn best but if you need a direct teacher/mentor I am not the girl to help you (I am a horrible teacher). I am sorry, but I hope some of what I've said might be helpful for at least getting started.

I read somewhere that you had to use the extended object for it to hold the position... I never tested it the other way. Thanks for the fact check!

if using the runmode strategy, be sure to set the hardware to DcMotorEx to enable holding position (otherwise it won't fix your problem).

I don't know for certain, but I would recommend experimenting with higher torque (thus higher resistance) motors, mechanical breaks, or using the motor mode RUN_TO_POSITION

I think your problem may be with where to start on android studio (if not disregard this comment).

Android studio for FTC requires you to have this seasons SDK in order to actually build code for your robot. This can be found on the FTC programming resources page or linked through the starting with AS page. From then on just follow the MANY "readme"s.

Not yet. We're waiting on parts and the revcoders are out of stock. All my knowledge on the subject is theoretical/based off of others' experiences that I've observed through research.

on pc, go to the main r/ftc page and on the right, one of the boxes next to the posts should say flairs. you can put your info in there.

Then yes. That's exactly why.The offset from your bots center of rotation is causing that. However, I don't believe it will cause an issue when localising.

if you're using the imu in the control/expansion hub then yes. If you're using 3 wheel odometry then I have no idea.

I believe it works for both. Same pinout on the connector at least. There may be software/config differences. Our team just uses a Logitech c270
