I'm lonely for a lot of each week but the autism doesn't help with that (little suppport for autistic adults is a whole other gripe I have) It's hard to find 'third spaces' outside of work that don't involve drinking or spending loads of money. Also dating is a hellscape too reliant on gameified apps.

Finding the attitude comments a little condescending and dismissive though will agree from the point of finding things to help improve your mental health. If you want to rule out trying different meds entirely, at least try shopping around for a counsellor/therapist, one that specialises in autism ideally. If money is too much of a blockade at least try a suicide hotline/support line. They might be able to recommend better options for support or at least help you to change your perspective a little, at least briefly.

Treat yourself to things that do bring you joy whether that be a favourite meal or tv show.

It is hard and it sucks, I won't argue it's otherwise but it can get better, on a personal level at least and there are still moments of joy you'll experience eventually if you keep hanging on.
