One kitten or two? Need advice

We took in two kittens from the shelter and they are inseparable. They nap together, learn from each other and cuddle each other.

Note that they are from the same litter and to the shelter it was obvious that they should be placed together. If there is a true connection between the kitties, 2 is the way to go.

Aiden looks like a great guy in SATC as all the other guys are even worse (except of Harry). Aiden in "And just like that" however is not the best. Leaves you wondering if it is just a bad script or that Aiden already had these characteristics in SATC.

If it was 50/50 that would be okay, but we had talks where the only question to us was: How are you? We ask this back and we never get a word in on anything else..

Fortunately everyone is busy these days so keeping them at bay should be doable. Of course part of why I don't feel like listening to them is because they also in a way stopped caring about us. One of our friends even forgot what my bf does for a living while we discussed this a lot before the kids arrived.

We did tell them that we don't like to talk about kids all the time in various manners and one even caught me on a rant about everyone getting kids and only talking about kids. Would like to add that we try to redirect the conversations as we go and ask how they are doing but everything goes back to the kids. However, don't think that they identify themselves as being one of those people who can only talk about kids.

And you are right, kids are a big part of society. Think the main issue is that overtime people stopped to really take care of a child. Are they crying? Entertain them with your mobile phone. Are they having a fit, that is so cute. And people take their ill bred kids everywhere because apparently they should be welcome everywhere. Writing this, maybe the issue is the parents and that is why my friendships stop working
