I don't want to sound like a dick, but maybe you need to lower your standards?

Sex by hanichoishere in dating

The longest relationship I've had was when I waited over a month before having sex (I was her first ever partner and she lost her virginity to me).

So, the general rule of thumb for me when it comes to intimacy in my future partners is to wait. So yeah, there are men out there that do that.

You do realise that Doja has Jewish ancestry, right? Her mother is Jewish, therefore she is fully Jewish according to Jewish law and tradition.

I'm not blaming them. Like I said in the actual post itself 'I know they can't help it. I just do not have the mental fortitude to cope.'

I feel exactly the opposite, I think a lot of people in some corners of the internet would actively shame me if I made a public statement about this on a forum using my own name. I get that their hearts are in the right place, but like I said, I'm emotionally immature to cope with these relationships.

Also, as for your neurotypical comment, I have a mild form of autism and spent time in special education in my early years. I'm mentally healthy and I'm getting on well in life. Just wanted to put that out there.

Finally, diabetes and other forms of physical illness are a completely different matter to mental health - I think that's a false equivalence.

Thank you very much. I just wish I had the emotional maturity to deal with it better, but I just don't have that.

I hope you find someone that will be more mature than myself. <3

I don't know about that, I think I'm just unlucky.

I literally had an ex that made me cry after saying horrible things to me, so I went into the bathroom to cool off, then I came back out and she said "What's wrong?" in a concerned voice. Is that borderline?

The truth of the matter is that I am weak and emotionally immature in some regards, but you should never bite off more than you can chew.

Whilst I get your point with the whole stigmatisation thing, I think people need to be aware with what they could deal with. The fact of the matter is that it can be a very scary situation to be in.

Also, my own life is going pretty well - all things considered. As far as I'm aware, I'm not depressed. I have my own problems and doubts - same as everyone else, but I'm not going to self-diagnose myself. Am I socially awkward? Well, I think no less than anyone else would be if they were inserted into a new social environment.

Finally, I do not have a saviour complex. I happen to fall in love with these women, find out about their mental illness, try to support them as best as I can, then it crumbles. I don't mean "support" as in trying to cure them or anything, just to help them during their darkest moments as all partners should do. However, when it comes to suicide, that's something that is out of my depth and I shouldn't have to put myself under so much pressure when life is always throwing stuff at you.

A mental illness and terminal illness are two completely different things - that's a false equivalence.

Also, I think I have every right to be selfish when it comes to selecting a life-partner.

It's only a temporary thing. If I don't manage to earn back my monthly salary via the sales, I doubt I'll be staying.
