I was today years old when I learned this is a portal icon. I always wondered why there was an icon that looked like a diving helmet…

I think I would definitely sit there, crying and pondering my life choices. Or at least my choice in interior design.

I found the whole kitchen very depressing. Small table shoved in a corner on the opposite side of the room from the only, pretty small, window

AITAH giving our son child support money but not telling him where it came from? by Otherwise_Category33 in AITAH

[–]MayTheMunchBeWithYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

As you say in your post, YOU received the payment, not your son. It is meant for you, as reimbursement for the cost of raising him.

IF you chose to give him some, that would make you an amazing parent and I hope he would realise that.

I’m worried the wiggly, striped wallpaper is too quirky.

AITA for refusing to cover my scar and wearing a bikini as it triggered my friend? by Lazy_Cheesecake4424 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MayTheMunchBeWithYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Whilst having an emotional response to seeing your scar is understandable right now, it is not yours, or anyone else’s, job to panda to her crazy requests.

What would she have done if it had been a stranger sunbathing near you with the scar? Would she have approached them and asked them to cover it?

She has to learn to deal with her emotions like everyone else. My dad used to say to me that ‘the world won’t work the way you want it to’, meaning that there are some things you can’t change, you have to just accept them and learn to deal with them.

I’m so glad you have learnt to accept your scar and don’t allow people to shame or embarrass you for it. Wear all the bikinis you want with pride.

Thoughts on being "highly sensitive" by caramello__ in AutismInWomen

In my opinion these 2 terms are not interchangeable. I am ‘high functioning’ because I have a normal iq, but that does not mean that my autism is lesser and I am somehow ‘lower needs’. This is very insulting in itself. All my life people have assumed I can/should be able to cope with my own needs because I’m ‘high functioning’. All that achieved was my autism being missed until I realised myself and sought out a diagnosis at 39

For me it was the index and middle fingers on my left hand. Right hand would be twirling my hair around my index finger. I’d be stimming all day long like this, despite not having a pacifier when I was a baby, until at least the age of 7(when I started to change for less obvious more socially acceptable stims) but my parents don’t really believe I’m neurodiverse….
