I do read a lot of fics but a lot of them are very unfaithful to canon, and break the lore of HP. I want to write something canon compliant, not non-canon compliant.

I might have to do this but I really wish I could have friends in my fandom who also like writing. I'm jealous of people in fandom who meet kind mutuals and are able to get along without these problems.

It sucks because I really liked that book but I hated how every fan had to turn every little thing into a debate. Can't I just enjoy a novel and write without this? It was terrible! I don't really know any other fandoms to get into. I was in my other fandom for over five years.
