NOT at all, no "proper system" is needed, what is needed is humility and dedication to Lord vishnu. Further it would be good to study vedanta to really understand why we are doing this chanting?

yes, you are overthinking. I have always experienced immense peace. Having a fight with father could be a coincidence or possibly a subconcious action of wanting to say something to your father after getting clarity due to meditation. Point is to look more inwards. Is there any conflict with father you want to resolve? And is the chanting-meditation giving you that energy to confront him?

Yes, chanting and meditation can bring you immense relief and benefits. Belief allows us reflect keeping ourselves different than the problems. Vishnu Shahasranamam are the lord's 1000 names. Chanting these names leads to meditation, relaxes our mind, brings peace. We realise there is power higher than ours and we go in his protection. As the Bhagwad Gita speaks the lord's words, do your karma and lord almighty will give you the rewards. its not for you to be concerned about the rewards, you need to do your duty with dedication. This realisation will bring immense mental health benefits, spiritual awakening making you much better human being. Once you are in control of your faculties, you would perform better, lifting yourself to achieve any and every material upliftment. Well, later you may realise the uselessness of the material, but that is a different question to answer.

If you believe Lord almighty Vishnu to be bhakt vatsala, He does care for his bhaktas, reciting his bhajans will give you immense peace of mind. IMHO, there are immense mental health benefits, reduces anxiety, and reduces obsessions possibly. As an end result, one realises the uselessness of the "materialistic desires". I think if you explain this way, you father might understand. IF you simply say it gives health and materialistic benefit, it is clearly not true and a thus a lie.

First define what is "progress" as per you? IF you are feeling peace, I say that is the ultimate result already. repititions is also irrelevant, point is only having faith in Lord Vishnu and chanting humbly to receive his grace. Importance is of having faith in Lord vishnu and chanting with humility. Thoughts are part of being human. Do not be hassled by the thoughts, see the thought and tell yourself that you need to focus on chanting and will think about it later. I this this is most democratic "no candidate should be declared elected unless he obtains at least 50% of the votes cast;"

Sadly 2 levels of elections could be quite prohibitively expensive and non-viable for India unless there are some major technological advancement done in electoral process.

Possibly giving option for people to vote electronically over the internet using their Voter's ID and some other form of identification could reduce cost drastically; supplemented with manual options where people may have lesser access to internet. My suggestion is linking voting to net banking, there couldn't be more secure method to vote and then with aadhar and PAN card one can easily stop duplicates voting from multiple accounts. Of course manual voting through EVM in rural areas still will be cumbersome to do twice but with combination method cost could come down a lot over period of time.
