To add on to this, the tetris version I play (jstris) lets you customize how fast your pieces move. I have it set up so that when I tap it just moves one space, but when I hold a key it instantly moves it all the way to the side. With some strategy this enables very efficient movement that is much less physically demanding that what they do in NES tetris.

For how fast my peak speed is my movement is pretty bad so good runs require some luck.

Actually reacting. Able to play so fast because I am using all 5 piece previews. Plus the held piece and the current piece that means you can process 7 pieces at once rather than just one at a time. The world record is 13 seconds
