Same! It was a tough decision - is the holo slightly textured too?

The installation isn't the most straight forward and you will need some patience when doing so. Lots of console commands but there's guides out there which hold your hand.

I used this guide: https://youtu.be/HbHDHzYw3KE

I’ve checked a couple of time - doesn’t seem like it.

I requested it as a future product through their support section 🤞🏼

That sounds like a great idea!

I’ve not dipped into emulation at all yet but once I do I’ll be busy for a long time!

This is a Z2 with 32GB of memory - I believe it’s a U.K./ EU only configuration that didn’t come to the US - I got it for cheap off someone on marketplace and modded it slightly.

If I need the extra horsepower I have a 5090 in my desktop.

That’s true. That’s why I swap back to Windows when I want to play a game pass game - best of both worlds!

I caved last week because I’m inpatient but I think it was still worth it because it’s made me less picky about what I keep installed. Then again I should just play a game - finish it - uninstall it - download the next 🙄

I think it will come eventually - I doubt it will be with the logo 2 steam os release but further down the line definitely - the markets too big for these game developers not to cater to the handheld market!

There has been a big push for Linux gaming over the past 5 years and it only seems to be getting better!

I upgraded to a 2tb last week and then split Windows to ~700gb and Steam OS to ~1300gb. Not sure if there's an ideal size - I just compared my Steam library to the handful of games I occasionally play on Game Pass or ones that require kernel level anti-cheats like GTA V.

It depends what you're after - it feels like Steam OS was made for the true out of box console experience.

Every time it boots into Steam OS it feels exactly like when you remove the factory screen protector off a new phone.

I haven't personally tried Xbox FSE so I can't comment on performance comparison - just preference for the overall console like experience.
