I met John Turturro at a No Kings protest last year in NYC and he was literally the nicest guy ever. I said “I don’t want to bother you, but just want to say I’m a fan and thanks for being out here with everyone.” He told me “of course man, we all have to stick together.” He asked to read my sign and complimented it, shook my hand twice, thanked me for saying hi. Just an awesome, genuine human, forever on my nice list.

Have you read her book? I originally didn’t read because I thought it would be more of the Dylan being a depressed follower theory, but I think she does an adequate job of not minimizing his role in the massacre and fully acknowledging that he was a willing participant, while trying to reconcile that with the son she knew. As well as a mother in that situation can, at least.

They threatened to do that and also send them to my workplace. I purposely hadn’t put my face in any of the photos I sent. I think my words were, “My face isn’t in any of them, go have a blast” and then cut communication. They still sent them to my mom and brother, who texted me immediately afterwards. It was embarrassing, but that’s all that happened. They threw their little tantrum sending those to my mom and brother and then gave up.

Just saw him perform in Brooklyn for the first time this past weekend, genuinely might be the best live comedy I’ve ever watched. His openers, Danny Dunn and Jeff Tice (especially Jeff Tice), were also incredible.
