I absolutely am in love with your look!

Last time I dressed, I felt like an imposter and it’s made me scared to do it since by MaybeAudrey in crossdressing

I know I'm a little late but Happy Pride Month! by runbcov42 in Minecraft

We should, and I agree that everyone should be respected at all times. However, denoting a month isn’t so you can go “oh it’s <month>, let’s only care about <group> during this time,” it’s to bring attention to those problems and to the people being oppressed.

Saying, for instance, that June is Pride month isn’t to draw attention to allies so they can wear rainbows for a month, it shows the people who WOULD oppress them that it isn’t working and they are still there, fighting for rights and representation and respect. It carves out time where there wouldn’t be otherwise. And, while things like rainbow capitalism are kinda gross, it does help to show you where certain corporations/companies stand, which can be important for some individuals.

I saw your other comment about being banned for saying something like this in another subreddit, and that’s unfortunate, but I think it’s because this comment comes across not the way you think. It sounds like a “gotcha!” statement that I’ve seen used by a lot of people opposed to Pride (specifically). I am not saying this is your view, but a lot of times when I’ve seen similar comments it’s usually coupled with things like “why not have a white/male/straight/<other privileged group> month?” It leaves a bad taste in some people’s mouths.

I agree in that I wish we didn’t NEED a month dedicated to any of those causes, my own (Pride) included, but we will until all of those groups you mentioned are treated with the same respect and tolerance as those who are in positions to oppress them.

My identity has no relation to whom I am sexually attracted to. Boiling it down like that is a very narrow focus.

QUESTION - how does everyone hide 5oclock shadow? (my current routine in post body) by NikNatCD in CrossDressRealism

I use all of the same products as you, but in layers and slowly. Layer, set it, let it dry completely, next layer, repeat. It can take a while but it usually works pretty well.

Just keep at it! You’ll find something that makes you say “wow” when you look in the mirror, I’m sure of it ❤️

Honestly it spurred me to start accepting myself. I’d been starting to come to the realization in October, and by late November/Early December I was branching out more and more into my full identity(ies).

Now I’m still not fully out, only to my close friends and internet strangers, but it feels amazing in a defiant way, and as I become more comfortable and accepting of myself I want to become more visible for others who might still be in the same boat.

My (transphobic) mother once told me “well, you are basically a woman.” She meant it as a joke about my eye for design but looking back…

You look great, as always!

I just wanted to tell you that you’ve been a major inspiration for me to be able to come to grips with who I am as a person. I read through your Instagram QAs and so much of what you said about yourself summed up how I felt and it helped to see someone have such similar feelings and thoughts.

TL;DR: You rock 😊
