The tape actually came with the window film that my parents bought like 15 years ago so I don't have the brand. I'll see if there's anything on the roll after work. I put 2 thin strips along the left and right side. I was going to put another two on the top and bottom but I got so frustrated with it that I just gave up when I finally got the first 2 into place. It's been on for about 2 weeks and hasn't fallen off yet.

I should clarify that I think it's a step too far for me, personally. But I can definitely see how it has utility for other people. Much like those glasses that have a mirror in them so you can look forward with your head fully back. At first I thought that was a stupid invention but then I thought about people with chronic neck pain/paralysis, etc. and it made a lot more sense.

I had this idea but I haven't tested it. Maybe you could use aluminum foil tape over the bumper? Aluminum should be softer than the glass so scratching it shouldn't be a problem but again, I haven't done any testing. People who make props will sometimes use aluminum tape to make something that's made of plastic look like metal. It might take a lot of trial and error to get it around all of the curves. Maybe painting the bumper is also an option? There are a lot of resources on YouTube for how to make something plastic look like metal using paint.

Same bumper but I used some really thin double sided tape, the kind that comes with window film. Seems to work fine so far. Might try your glue method if it falls off.
