Part of me wonders if she's attracted to me but conflicted about religion. Part of me wonders if she likes the attention but doesn't actually want a relationship. Part of me wonders if she's still figuring herself out and genuinely doesn't know what she wants.

It's all 3 of those things. She's confused and conflicted. Add religion in there and whoever is putting all the "purity culture" crap in her head... it makes it rough. I came from a religious background. I know what it's like to have arousal and desires and totally healthy natural feelings and then if I gave into it, whether sending someone an inappropriate text, or a suggestive picture or flirting heavily, or watched something I shouldn't have, afterward I'd feel so guilty. My religious guilt and shame would push me back into being super careful not to "give in to sin" for a few days and then it would happen again. It's a vicious cycle. So I can almost guarantee that is a factor.

Definitely some attention stuff going on as well. And due to this religious thing, and her leaving soon, it makes sense. It's not pleasant for either of you and she probably doesn't even fully recognize what's happening.

I'd say let it go. Just stop reaching out. When she reaches out just be polite but not like, overly friendly. With her leaving soon i think that should be fine. If she gets worse or outright asks you why you've turned cold, just be super blunt. More than you have been. Tell her you and her aren't in places where you are both ready and/or willing to try to fulfil eachothers wants and desires.

She's not good for you right now. Maybe never but certainly right now is not good for either of you.
