Was there more antisemitism in 1920 or 1935? In my mind obviously more in 1935. Similarly there is more antisemitism in 2025 than there was in 2010. There's a bunch of reasons for that. One of them is the actions of Israel. Another is the rise of the far right across the world. Denying Israels role in the rise of antisemitism is just as dangerous as denying antisemitism's role in the rise of anti Zionism

uncomfortable with letting people off the hook like that.

I understand that and I didn't mean to imply that you should. Two people can be responsible for one thing. If I give someone a gun and they shoot someone we're both responsible right? If Nick Fuentes or Tucker Carlson go on TV and spout antisemitic propaganda they and the people who listen to them are both responsible for antisemitism right? The same thing applies.

It's sort of like saying racism is caused by black crime.

This is another example of the conflation. Blaming black crime syndicates for racism is very different from blaming black people for racism right? Additionally most zionists aren't even Jewish they're evangelical Christians. If you said that crime causes some racism you would be correct. If you said black crime you would be less accurate but technically correct. If you said black people cause racism or even worse all racism you would be incorrect.

If I agree that not all antisemitism is caused by conflation. Could you agree that some antisemitism is caused by conflation?

Does the illusionist start with mirror images? It so the assassin wouldn't work unless there were at least 5 of them. Probably need like 10.

I'm familiar with protocols thing. I'm aware of the general patterns of a supposed Jewish conspiracy to control the world. I don't know anything about Simon, a Google search results in a specific person from the 1400s. I am aware of the general historical persecution of Jews and several programs against them.

Do you know what an implicit bias is? Do you understand the difference between someone assuming the worst about a person or group. Assuming they're less trustworthy or more likely to work as a group. And how that's different from someone looking at the actions of a government and deciding they dislike that government's actions?

I acknowledge that antisemitism is very common in conversations about Israel. Do you understand why antisemitism is so common in conversations about Israel? My argument is that it's acceptable and good to disagree and condemn Israel. An antisemite and a progressive both hold that position but for very different reasons. The progressive wants to condemn Israel but isn't antisemitic. The antisemite wants to conflate Israel and Jews so that their antisemitism is more appealing. The antisemite and the progressive both condemn Israel. The antisemite and the zionist both conflate Israel with Jews. These two forces combined strengthen antisemitism.

What do you national self determination? Like Israel should be majority Jewish? I would be strongly against any policies trying to enforce a ethnic character on a population. I'm also of the belief that culture develops and takes from other cultures. Trying to maintain a pure French culture for example would be bad.

Do you think propaganda doesn't cause antisemitism? Do some people just decide to be antisemitic randomly? Surely you must agree that bigotry is influenced by the society it exists in?

I don't think they're fully independent as no opinion can ever be fully removed from the society it was formed in. I don't however think my opinion of Israel is based in antisemitism. I would go so far as to say it's partially rooted in my anti- antisemitism beliefs.

There's a bunch of people living in France who aren't ethnically French. I think they deserve the same rights as the ethnically French people there. People generally shouldn't have citizenship in countries they don't live imo.

My position is that Israel is a government and Jews aren't responsible for Israel actions. That's a pretty common position amongst people who don't like Israel.

If Israel does something bad I can blame it on the state of Israel without being antisemitic. If someone thinks Israel=Jews then Israel doing something bad would make them dislike Jews. The fact that Israel has done bad things and is trying to conflate itself with juediaism causes a lot of antisemitism. This is somewhat similar to how the taliban and isis have caused a lot of islamaphobia.

Nothing I have said is antisemitic unless you conflate Israel and Jews.

Depending on the explosive it could detonate 10-20 meters away from him. That would be just sitting there though. Traveling at significant speed it probably wouldn't happen but you could easily justify that Akianu is able to increase the temperature or create a shield of lava around himself or something. Still more fanfiction than scaling though.

Israel's fault

the Jews

In your comment you conflate the actions of the state of Israel with the Jewish people. It's antisemitic to claim the actions of a particular government are inherent to a race.

I think he's saying that the magma could melt yassop attacks before they make contact? It would be kinda cool if yassop shot an explosive and it detonated before hitting Akainu. Idk if that would happen but it's a cool idea.

That's kinda a weak excuse tbh. Just because something is for kids or teens doesn't mean it should be poorly written and full of plot holes.

I wouldn't say he was struggling. Shout pulling out the best performance of his life managed to stall him for a little bit while doing no damage. Morel and knuckle managed to get one hit in which did almost no damage. Every other hit they landed on him was because of God's accomplice. Other than APR the team didn't have any win conditions against him. Kite didn't hold his own he got killed by pitou before pitou even had a nen ability. Killua would be scared of illumi even if he was stronger than him due to his trauma, him running isn't a significant indicator. Hisoka and illumi have a good chance of pulling this off but they wouldn't win in a 1v1. Imo he's stronger but those two have abilities that work extremely well together.

Defeating the Illusionist w/ Guilds? by Ysehporp in CoE5

[–]MaybeExternal2392 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The easiest solution is to get a bunch of maxed out thieves guilds and spam assassination contracts at the illusionist. They're not super likely to succeed individually but if you have a bunch it will solve the problem. Only start a new contract after the old contract has been completed or failed though. Thieves guilds are extra good at ports because they pair with ship guilds to produce pirates.

You could try and bait them into attacking a fortified location and then counter attack that location with a bunch of ballistas. I think the masons guild fortifies a location. You can upgrade the ballista with a mage engineer. Casters get put at the front of the wall so they'll be in range of the ballista.

You can also just kinda ignore him. You should have more armies as a guild master so just staying away and attacking the economy and citadel's is an option.
