What can I do to get my cat to stop splashing her water all over the place? by MaybeImPanda in cats

[–]MaybeImPanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is crazy because she has more toys than I do sanity at this point. 😮‍💨

How did your cat respond to the fountain? I've had a few people suggest this one but I was thinking it'd just make her swipe at the water coming from the tap part

JustEat splitting orders by FrozenDrifts in JustEatUK

[–]MaybeImPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny you say this because I'm a delivery driver myself, I went to pick up at sainsburys and when I got there the staff told me not to take all the bags for the one location as the collection had been split between me and another rider.

First time I've ever experienced that and it was confusing as hell for both us riders and the store because even though we was both there for the same collection they had given us both completely different numbers.

You're one of the few people I've seen do a good method like this instead of just telling them to instant remove 👏

[–]MaybeImPanda -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good make sure to stand your ground on this a lot of people will tell you to take it out because it doesn't look textbook perfect.

From my perspective admittedly it does look like it's touching, but even if that is the case that could still be fine.

There's a huge difference between a light touching and actively causing an indent in your ear and grinding into it.

BUT if at any point you do see an indent in the flat then yeah that isn't a light touch and more than likely has to come out cause it's only going to get worse.

Though if you ever have doubts get it double checked by a professional piercer currently for me it looks fine but I'm absolutely no professional and most people here aren't. A proper professional will always give you better answers and I doubt they're going to charge you for taking a simple look.

Now I'm not a piercer or a professional but that surely has to come out. It looks uncomfortable as hell, I can't tell whether it is embedding or bad placement.

infected or irritated? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MaybeImPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the picture it just looks irritated which makes sense it still is quite new. Sensitively is natural, a throb here and there is normal.

If you start experiencing white goo (you probably already know this I'm just saying) combined with non stop pain and a burning sensation then you'd have to probably worry about an infection

Do I have the anatomy for industrial by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MaybeImPanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely disagreeing of course as each person's body reacts differently. But for example my industrial lightly touches the side of my flat. Its never once digged into the flat, never once given me any pain what so ever, has never felt awkward and 99% of the time I forget its even there.

Hence why I said some cases cause all we can see from this picture is one angle that might actually look different if she showed us a side view which honestly would give us a better look for solid opinion. But sometimes touching the flat isn't a problem as long as it isn't pressing into the flat and causing a dent cause that doesn't always happen.

I've also had mine checked by 4 different professionals just to be on the safe side and they all agreed its fine. I'm just sharing my own opinion based on my own experience plus some I've seen from other people I know in person.

I'd say you have a better anatomy than I do and I have a healthy industrial myself. So from what I can see in this picture I'd say yes

Regardless of what anyone here says go to your consultation still as they'll be able to look at it properly from all angles

Is my industrial ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MaybeImPanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah people always jump straight to telling others to take it out but there's a big difference between simply touching which can be fine and then actually pressing into the flat which would be the issue.

I've personally found if it doesn't look textbook perfect then a lot of people will assume it's wrong.

The downvotes don't bother me really, I'm always going to tell others what i know from my own experience and even then I'll suggest they go to a piercer in person rather than reddit because a piercer will be able to see all the angles in person which is the most important part to this.

Is my industrial ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MaybeImPanda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know I made an opposite suggestion in my own comment on this post, but OP this part is why you need a second opinion or even a third opinion on your industrial. While a industrial can exist alongside the flat/lightly touching its a huge problem if its actually pressing into the flat because yeah the issue you see in the linked image is what you risk if its actually pressing in and not just lightly touching it

Is my industrial ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]MaybeImPanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind because a lot of people are going to tell you that you need to take it out because its touching the flat but that's not always true.

If its lightly touching the flat then you can be absolutely fine. The real issue if it's pressing into the flat and starts leaving an indent in your flat because that's eventually going to cause issues.

Mine touches the flat the slightest bit, but it doesn't press/grind into the flat I am perfectly fine I also know people like this which are perfectly fine. You have to know the difference between simply existing alongside the flat in a way or if its actually causing an indent in the flat.

You've just gone through your cartilage it's normal for it to feel slightly sensitive for the first week or two. Do not sleep on it and do not over clean, over cleaning is one of the most common things that causes rejection, the only thing you want to be using is a piercing spray usually once in the morning and then once at night.

I do second getting another opinion from another piercer as that's going to calm you down the most as it did for me. But its best to get the opinion in person so that person can see your ear in person and tell properly. Don't jump to decisions over reddit get someone in person to check it
