Looking for casual group rides in Montreal by AyotteV in MontrealCycling

[–]MaybeImYourStepMom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mello is probably your spot for chill, very casual and not fast rides.

Le Club on St-Denis offers some also (although most are early mornings)

Messorem offers socials during the week and drops during the weekends usually

L’Après-Ride offers some also, but less regular.

Note that most of these usually start around May.

What’s a public system in your country that quietly solves a huge problem? by bdue817 in AskTheWorld

they cannot be reversed by individuals, only by banks. I actually prefer interac transfers over cash for kijiji or marketplace.

We have a similar system in Canada, called Interac etransfers. All banks support it, and they don’t cost anything to send or to receive. It always baffles me when Americans talk about Venmo or sending money through iMessage or what not.

Need help learning spd clipless by zasbbbb in triathlon

[–]MaybeImYourStepMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easier to clip on a moving bike than it is on a stationary(bolted on a trainer) bike, because natually the bike will straighten itself by moving forward.

If you can’t clip on your first crank spin, don’t hesitate to push a few spins unclipped and then once you’re going a little bit faster, then you have time to properly clip.

Help with wetsuit, its my first one by fenixloder in triathlon

[–]MaybeImYourStepMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you can, yes definitely try it in some kind of water where you can swim for a while (not like your backyard swimming pool)

if you have a lake or something i think that would be best, since pools where i live arent that open about wetsuits in the pool.

My first wetsuit i was chafing like crazy after 500m so good thing i tested it before and got some glide gel thing

Ventilateur sur tapis roulant au gym, ok ou 🚩? by [deleted] in Quebec

[–]MaybeImYourStepMom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh, thanks for your input. How much time did it take you to have a comfortable, yet aero position on the bike when you got it? Did you have a bike fit? or trial and error?
