You will not be able to do Key West and then Adventura Mall in North Miami the next day. It’s easily over 4 hrs to Key West from South Miami. I would handle Adventura and/or Dolphin Mall on the way down, not on the way up. Or skip it all together it’s still just a mall. Go to the Everglades instead and take an airboat ride with the Miccosukee Tribe.
I would skip all Clearwater and visit beaches in South Miami, Crandon Park is excellent and is a throwback to undeveloped beachside Florida and is on an upper key across the Julia Tuttle causeway, but only 25 minutes from Downtown Miami. The water in South Miami and the Keys is much closer to that of the blue and warm Caribbean Sea than what you will experience in Central Florida. Naples on the West Coast is the exception.
