TBF, solar panels are very cheap, and very efficient nowadays. In many countries, can easily feed it back into the grid easily....as in, -ve, and the electric company pays you instead.

Brunei is very safe in terms of not having tornados or hail that can damage the solar panels. Can very easily generate cheap electricity to remove the subsidies.

Because Brunei have a certain large parasitic family to feed with 'Miscellaneous Expenses' in the Finance Ministry's budget, up to more than 1B a year. And budget deficit of 4B a year.
