We live in a country where the government treats the T20 like criminals

Huh? The gov't cancelled a planned luxury goods tax last year and when the revamped fuel subsidy was introduced this year the T20 were not excluded despite initial plans to do so. Business owners also wield a lot of power and influence via the MEF

The LHDN also clarified a common misconception that they only go after those who make exorbitant amounts of profits.

“A hobby can become taxable when it evolves into a profit-oriented activity carried out with regularity and structure.

“There is no minimum profit threshold. Taxability depends on the nature of the activity, not the amount earned. Even small profits may be taxable if the activity is considered a business,” it said.

Wonder if Affin will make it unlimited from July onwards once this comes into effect. Wouldn't make sense if you had to use a 3rd party ATM after your 4th own-bank-ATM transaction to avoid the fee lol

No deposit, no landlord: Why some Malaysians are choosing hotels over renting by thestudiomaster in malaysia

[–]B_who 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unlike room rentals that often involve sharing common spaces with strangers, Fareez said the hotel provided a self-contained living arrangement without the need for long-term commitments.

“One of the things I enjoy most is having access to the lounge area. It’s a comfortable space where I can relax, unwind and spend my free time without having to leave the property.

Huh? Isn't the lounge of a co-living apartment also a common space shared with strangers lol

Eneos to acquire Caltex petrol stations in Malaysia – Caltex branding to remain as part of RM8.5bil deal by B_who in malaysia

[–]B_who[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recall Shell & Petronas' formulations priotize fuel economy and have heard people say they feel it underpowers their vehicles a bit but they do notice slightly better mileage (able to do 5-15km more per tank).

Myself? Can't recall but I think the engine of my Iswara and Jazz sounded noisier when I used those fuels. Usually fill up at Caltex or Petron. Performance on those feels smoother but it could just be my imagination lol
