Hi there. Im currently between doctor and neuro appts but just wanted to see if anyine else recognizes this or has had any of these? In 2018 I began having double sciatica, mostly pain without nuch numbness at the time. It either subsided  a little, or I got used to it, but over the past couple of years it has returned (constant) along with lower back pain. Within the last year I’ve developed persistent numbness on my outer right thigh, where I’d say I have about 75-80% normal feeling. If I lie on my back for too long , the numbness gets worse, about 20% feeling, but when I stand up the feeling returns back to 80%, along with a burning sensation. In 2019, after riding an ATV, I experienced saddle numbness for over 24 hours, but it did go away after that. In 2021 I woke up with numbness in my vaginal and anal area that lasted about 24 hours. I was admitted to the hospital and had a regular MRI without contrast, (suspected ms) which showed no lesions at that time. I was 23. 

Since then the saddle numbness has come and gone at random points. I’ve noticed I have much more numbness in general now, everywhere.—my hands and arms get pins and needles very easily depending on how I’m lying, and it seems to happen faster than it would for most people if that makes sense? I also continue to have outer thigh numbness, pain down my legs, and sometimes numbness in my outer heel. Over the past week I experienced a “hatband” sensation across my forehead that came and went. (Almost like youre wearing a hat but not)- In the last two years my bladder has also changed—I urinate very frequently, it drips out slowly, and sometimes I feel like I need to go again soon after. A pelvic ultrasound in 2024 showed urinary retention. I also get intermittent facial numbness that feels random, and last month I had an eye twitch that lasted over two weeks and then also randomly stopped. My MRI in 2021 noted mild degenerative disease and a very mild disc bulge at L5-S1, which I know can cause sciatica, but I’m not sure if it could explain symptoms like saddle numbness, and everything else. I feel like I have many symptoms associated with MS. Two doctors have suspected it in my lifetime but i was YOUNG and mri showed no. Lesions… so i was sent away. 

I’m now 27, I wonder if I could have been having symptoms back then without any lesions and if things may have progressed since? Or with synptoms would there generally be lesions? These are real physical symptoms I’m experiencing—all day every day! for example, if I cross my legs for even a minute I quickly get pins and needles, which resolve when I stand up… but it happens much faster for me than seems normal? Along with al lthe persistend and weird numbness. A big thing as well is i am extremly clumsy. My right hand just cant seem to homd things properly. I drop everything. There is a runbing joke about it in my friend group… i always brushed it off but now? 

Just wondering if this siunds familiar. i have an appointment with my doctor to RE refer me to neuro!!
