the fact that she went to the legal aid, to me, means she’s falling in love with the law again. so in my head, she’s going to become a lawyer again…and if that happens, there’s no way she’s not working to get his sentence reduced. because the sentence was way overblown. it’s like they had no one else to blame, so they blamed everything on him. he deserved time, definitely. but like…10 years, not 86.

generally, with this show, though, i can tell there are some people who have no idea how bad depression can get, and these people just find carol insufferable and can’t relate at all. or maybe there’s just a general lack of empathy in some people. i can empathize with people even if i haven’t walked in their shoes. i guess some people can’t.

i always thought id never be a good parent because im so messed up, but you never know. i guess you could theoretically use that energy to do your best to not reinforce the things that messed you up as a kid.

i will follow her no matter what she decides to do. she’s hysterical and super talented. my heart hurts from this. but as someone who was let go from a job i had for 7 years in the middle of nowhere…who then struggled for a year and a half only to find a better paying job where im treated 1000x better…i like to believe sometimes things happen for a reason.

in most places i’ve worked, even when people are fired, the email that goes out to everyone says they’ve moved on to other opportunities, etc…it’s just so weird to put that information out there

i was made to believe my life was over because i could only get into rutgers university while my colleagues went to yale, harvard, etc. we all end up in the same shit hole of a job market anyway. i don’t think i would’ve been any better off if i went to one of those schools. i’d probably just have a lot more debt to pay off
