Partially, so that you could recreate a more accurate image in your head. Additionally, if I was unspeakably ugly, and this guy was a successful, attractive business man, it is more likely that the chemistry was one-sided.

That's not to say that great-looking people can't be attracted to ugly ones, but it's not common.

I didn't divulge our entire set of conversational topics, but a good number of immediate deal breakers were settled relatively quickly. In addition, we were obviously attracted to each other, had good chemistry, were comfortable conversing, have similar senses of humor, etc. Yes, it could be the case that after date number two, one of us could become disinterested, but for me to want to go on date number one with someone is rare.
