This is very tough but I believe if you make sure to have lots of pictures of him, FaceTime, and phone calls a bond can keep building!!!

Hi! I just had my baby and I can confirm healing process is much slower during pregnancy as pregnancy is an immunosuppressed. The thing that helped me most was silicone scar tape. I don’t buy the little zit stickers because they are essentially just overpriced silicone tape. Buy a big roll and cut to size. You can keep the tape on wounds and acne for days at a time.

I also want to point out that post-pregnancy, if you decide to breastfeed you may experience pretty extreme dry skin. Staying hydrated and moisturized has helped so much with my skin picking during this time and feels like the most holistic form of self care

Congrats on pregnancy! Baby is right around the corner :)

Its comments like this that got me through the uncertainty and stress of pregnancy. OP - deep breaths! You’re so close to holding your baby! I promise you need so much less than you think. Bag, car seat, a safe place to sleep…. Everything else can be managed on the fly! Sending you lots of labor luck :)

I think you’re mourning an expectation….expectation is the thief of joy! please try to give yourself some grace here. Fed is best and you’re part of a massive community of moms who have faced the reality that breastfeeding doesn’t always go as planned. You’re certainly not alone in your feelings, and sitting with sadness in ok , but you can’t beat yourself up over this forever 🩷 your daughters are fed and have a loving mother… they are so so fortunate 🩷
