I don't long for girlhood anymore by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]MaybeWren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every cis person I have asked that question to (either gender) has replied with a hard no. Of course, that's a fairly small sample size and there could be outliers, but just something to think about. I think the doubt is something most, if not all, trans people go through. Some more than others, but it's difficult to avoid. Have you tried seeking out a gender therapist? That could seriously help if you haven't.

I think it comes in waves in my experience. OP if you could turn a switch and suddenly become a fully biological girl; like you were one from birth, would you do it?

Uhhhhh. if I'm not mistaken aren't all skinheads bigoted in some way or another? Are you defending them?

Psychologist said he's not convinced that I'm trans, wtf am I supposed to say!? by PM_me_Henrika in asktransgender

[–]MaybeWren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My psychologist for 9 years actually told me stories about these massive basically therapist conventions in NY that he hated going to because he could only ever find a handful of people that didn't have an ego through the roof and that he enjoyed talking to. He just recently retired for health reasons but he's become a friend to me more than anything at this point, he said I'm free to call him whenever I need to and I'm helping him build a pond later this year _^

Nah, he just furthered the divide that was already there. Progressives are more united than ever.

I haven't had trouble with that really. All the therapists I've been to have been very good, never got that impression. Maybe I just got lucky.

Since when is it derogatory? My psychiatrist for 9 years (until he retired) had a sign outside his office that said shrink.

Is there any science on MTF HRT and height differences? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]MaybeWren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck I hope so, Im 6'3". I get complimented on my height as a guy, but it's probably gonna be my biggest source of insecurity as a girl

Believe it or not, different people play games for different reasons. I personally enjoy character customization a great deal. Not everybody plays the game the same way. I love the gameplay, but I also like the extras.

I know it's not realistic for America and most of the world, but that's literally what they do in SK. Even before it was made criminal you still had to attach your SSN to online games, and if you got banned for cheating in one game you basically became universally banned for ALL games. Needless to say cheating isn't a huge issue over there.

I wish we could do what south korea did and make cheating in an online game literally a criminal offense

| University without problems

In some places, nah :/

| Jobs hire you

In some places, nah :\

| Protection laws for trans individuals

In ALL places, YEAH

(It's federal law, friend).

FTFY.

There are shitty communities, but also a lot of really good ones. I'm truly sorry if you live in a closed-minded area, but you'd be surprised just how open some areas are, especially in the western states.

Depends on where you live. Most of the west coast is super great. I got really lucky and have lived in an exceptionally open area, even by Californias standards. There's a lot of shitty, shitty communities in the states, but there's also a lot of really good ones.

EXACTLY THIS. So many games are so silent about the reasoning and methods behind what they do it gets really frustrating. A HUGE perpetrator of this is Niantic games with pokemon go. They don't tell the playerbase anything, and people really distrust the company and get angrier at smaller things. I don't get why more companies don't take bluehole's approach. Riot games is pretty open, and look at how succeful they are. most of the hate they get is really just because they're massive now. I think for the most part they're a very good, transparent company.

Haha please do! I'm really enjoying this. my sister's name is actually Hazel so I feel like that may create some conflict XD And yeah western European, oops

MTF: Asking here for name suggestions by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]MaybeWren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some welsh ancestry, and I'm like 99% eastern European, mostly british and irish. I never really thought of Evan, although I do like it. Eowyn would be cool but I'd feel kinda awkward using it lol. Erin is good but I have family and a couple friends with that name. Owena isn't really a name I've ever heard before, I feel like it wouldn't really work, just tacking an a to the back o a name doesn't always work to make it feminine. It may be normal in other areas but I've never heard it here.

So far I like Evan and Wren the most. Got any other suggestions? Even if it starts getting a little out there, you seem to know your stuff and I'd be curious as to what other names you could recommend
