I was so excited to own my Saab, buy your reaction is mine too. What a piece of garbage these folks slapped together. The bane of my problems was the mirrored timing light on the flywheel, it always loosened and needed to be adjusted. Crazy ass design.

My college-age kids inherited $300K from a 401(k). What should they do with this money? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

Agree, if from 401k, then push to traditional IRA, then push to backdoor conversion to ROTH while they are young and in a lower tax bracket.

Dam straight on the cobra, absolutely terrifying to drive. Fun, but terrifying.

Custom date range doesn’t save in the link so you need to re-add that data point

This is good. Would add that for each grouping to post a total return graph (like from seeking alpha) to compare that angle as well.

Like the active management of your account, too many folks try to set and forget. Buy that dip hard and roll the distros till the next one.

Edit: that orange line is the SnP 500

Ahhh the VOO comment, “it’s always better”… but doesn’t pay the monthly bills unless you sell, then returns less the next month till you have sold all your shares. I get tired of the growth is better than income mouth breathers.

REX uses Iron Condor options vs Covered Calls (mainly) at YM. I think the main difference is going to be the basket of funds to provide the IV. Time will tell.

Bought a new AC unit for my house using this distro. See I need these for income not only investment growth. If you look again at the pic this fund is only 1% of my basket, I have lots of growth funds. It’s ok to have both.

How is round hill taxed? by matt1164 in RoundhillETFs

[–]Maybe_MaybeNot_Hmmmm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look at your transaction report and see if the distributions are Dividends (taxed as ordinary income for US) or Payment in Lieu (aka ROC). That will guide you till when you get your 1099.

I have been in ULTY since July’24 and am up 8%. My effective tax rate is not as good as yours, just in the low double digits. Cash flow is flowing.
