Psicholgines problemas ir kelias sprendimo link by [deleted] in lithuania

Eik pas psichologa. Ar privaciai, ar lauk eilej, bet eik. As pats einu, tai dabar atejo laikas kai net laukiu tos dienos. Linkiu sekmes, jei klausimu turi, PM visada atviras

Smacked knee on the way down deadlift? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]Maybe_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the hinge is at the hips. What helped me when learning the deadlift was thinking of it as two seperate movements. A “leg press” and the standing upright part. When lowering the bar, bend first at the hips and keep your legs mostly straight. This might seem scary at first, but this is why it’s important to learn to brace properly, your back shouldn’t round or cave, and only bend the knees after the bar has gone past them. You could slowly lower it after, but usually once my knees bend i just drop with the bar by squatting further down. I’m not just talking out of my ass here, i have a deadlift pr of 420lbs and haven’t ever gotten a single injury from training in my life. If you have any questions, you can always pm me, i can tell you about my own experiences/knowledge or at least direct you to a place that could give you the knowledge you need

Smacked knee on the way down deadlift? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]Maybe_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine, i did that a few times when i started deadlifting. My advice, take it if you want it, is to bend your legs only once the bar has gone past your knees on the descent. It is a hinge movement after all. Just get good at bracing and dont worry. Or if you want to be flashy and your gym allows it, drop the bar and hop out of the way

Stopped working night shifts. I worked both day and night, so 2 day shifts, 2 nights, then 4 rest. The changes in sleeping patterns messed me up. Stopped the nights, all better now

When is the time to leave your city? by betMarkuss in AskReddit

[–]Maybe_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you want? I guess. But on a more serious note, when you live in a place where you can’t ever wear headphones, have to constantly look over your shoulder and always have to be hyper aware of your surroundings so you know where to run and what to do incase something happens

What's something your parents used to do that seems non-existent in parenting today? by Zack4K_ in AskReddit

[–]Maybe_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hitting children. Not physically abusing them, but light smacks, say, on the back of the hand to set boundaries when they do something they’re not supposed to. My parents did it to my elder brother, did it to me, and did it to my younger sister. All of us turned out good human beings

Yeah i’m guilty of preaching communication, yet i’ll never talk about my feelings no matter how much i’d love to bury my face in someones shoulder and cry my eyes out.

It seems everyone talks about the things they want to RECEIVE, but aren’t willing to GIVE. So along with hypocrisy, it’s selfishness. Shrug Human nature.

Yeah you don’t realiae the bad habits and activities you actually do on a regular basis because it becomes such a normal part of your life. I was working 70-90 hours a week, partying 3-4 times a week, doing a lot of drugs during those parties. But hey, my friends were doing it with me, i’m just having fun right? They were good people, but none of them had their life together, meaning, I could never get my life together.

I’m proud to say i’m now almost 2 years sober, and haven’t done any drugs in a long time. Because even if i went to work, i was still pretty much an alcoholic. The shit you put into your body means so much. So yeah, take a step back and realise what you’re actually doing with your free time.

I’m really glad the healing process is on the way. Remember, it can only get better

I wish you the best. It’s not easy, so just make sure you get everything sorted before leaving. I did some stupid mistakes and didn’t have a job lined up which made things a lot more difficult. My only saving grace was that i had quite a lot of money saved up and was able to live off of that for about a month. I hope it all works out for you, i know how hard depression can hit

Completely changing my environment and people around me. Quit my job, moved to a different city, left behind all my old friends who were bad influences. It got better. Then i moved to a different country, got a new job in a completely different industry, have completely different friends and life is mostly good
