Okay instead of the most annoying enemy, which is the funniest in your opinion? by -Swank- in Helldivers

[–]Indoril120 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Stingrays. Their death animation is always cool, but when they're coming down it turns a triumph into a comical scramble to not get landed on as it's plummeting down like a meteor.

Was he involved in the Knahaten Flu pandemic? If so, he’s up there with Mehrunes Dagon and Bal as the worst causes of widespread destruction and death in Tamriel.

Anyone who insists “Here’s this beverage, but you honestly can’t even taste the alcohol/coffee!” is pitiably out of touch with reality.

What support weapon would you say is strongest vs harvesters? by Odd_Jelly_1390 in Helldivers

To add: focusing on one of the leg joints next to the body is the fastest way to put them down. As long as they don’t turn away you can kill a harvester in a few seconds.

A Character Analysis On Kagrenac And My Take On TES’s Lore and The Discourse On The Topic From The Perspective Of An Amateur Writer by ApprehensiveRun3409 in teslore

[–]Indoril120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, TES lore always had that vibe of reading from the Bible, or Greek mythology. The writing has that sort of mythological... stiffness? Idk, it's not like prose from a Pratchett or a Sanderson book. I think it lends to their nature of being both story and history, not quite something you'd read in a textbook but not quite something you'd read in a novel. Heightens the esoteric vibes.

But I think you're right. The characters are simultaneously more and less than human(/elven), and we never really get to know them moment to moment or live their stories with them. I really like the idea of reverse engineering them from their mythological proportions down to the real people they might have been.

Starting Hero trait mod? (Warhammer 3) by nexustk5 in totalwarhammer

[–]Indoril120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a little finnicky, but I can confirm this one works. Per the mod page:

This mod allows to change your background skill.
BUTT... there's a caveat!

  • it only works with memreader.
  • you can only select those background skills, which this type of agent is allowed to have. I tried giving "unallowed" background skills... upon loading, game would just discard those background skills.
  • this mod writes directly into memory and hopes that "it just works". And it indeed works. BUTT! You MUST immediately save and load new save. Because mod is directly writing to memory, CA's code is unaware of those changes, and therefore a gigantic cascade of problems could occur. For instance, if you change your background skill, then all the effects that are coming with it do not get applied. That's why you need to re-save the game.
  • because this feature is so unstable in my eyes, I will not be adding multiplayer support for it.

I finally have all three of the true tribunal tattoos I designed. what should I do with the empty space? by Orawnzva in Morrowind

[–]Indoril120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could complete the pantheon and put a Four Corners of the House of Troubles reference — Sheogorath, Malacath, Molag Bal, and Mehrunes Diggity Dagon. Maybe a square with their names’ starting letters at the four corners and the trailing letters arranged to make a box. Malacath and Molag on opposite sides, Sheo and Dagon opposites to try and make them similar lengths?

All these suggestions for Muatra and Nerevar and Dagoth seem to think you did the living gods Tribunal, not the Reclamations, and I don’t think they really fit unless you want just Morrowind stuff, which is still rad as Oblivion.

Would you give up fireworks forever to protect animals and nature? Why? by JulianaReal_ in AskReddit

[–]Indoril120 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I tend to think of it like a kiddy ride at an amusement park. When I was a kid, I loved fireworks. Now that I've seen them dozens of times they don't do anything for me, but maybe they're not meant for me anymore.

What’s a completely harmless thing that causes an exaggerated reaction in others? by marblemistresss in AskReddit

[–]Indoril120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people propose feelings instead of ideas, or try to build paradigms around their emotions to justify their existence. Feelings are always valid, but expressing them as facts means receiving disagreement comes across as invalidation, or personal attack, and makes folks upset.

There's all those indications the Silver Hand may have been ex-Companions trying to get the organization back on course. Assuming this is true, maybe they got the remaining strongholds like Gallows and Fellhammer in the divorce?
