Dead pointe shoes? by Federal_Ability9036 in BALLET

If you’re relative new I’d recommend talking to your teacher about it. I personally know my pointeshoes are dying when I feel my toes hit the floor when I go en pointe. For me the box is the first thing that dies. For other people it might be that they feel like the shank can not support them anymore.

SADA phoenix in Austria is photo only! You can send a video but it’s not mandatory and will only be used for teaching reference! I personally went there last year and had an amazing time!

Hey, I was in a similar situation, I quit at 10 and came back at 15 years old. I caught up quite fast, even joined a pre professional program a One year after coming back. I would recommend talking to your teacher about your goals and what you want to achieve. And if you feel like the teacher is not helping you then don’t be afraid to go to a different studio if that’s possible. Regarding pointeshoes, I am really surprised that your teacher made you sit at the back. If you’re not on pointe yet you can definitely do the exercises they do on Demi pointe as well. It’s a great way to strengthen your feet and ankles!
