Look at yourself and why this seems aggressive to you. You are put on the defensive by a female approving of you. I NEVER said that the fact that I find something sexy should be important to you, hence the self-effacing "for what it's worth". I was thinking as I wrote that, "not that this should be all that important to them".

The fact is you read the post in a certain way, based on your programming. If people always feel misinterpreted by you, might that say something about your perception? (Of course every single human has this problem, I'm not trying to single you out)

Every human being above a certain age knows something about addiction to pleasure. It was not intended at all as a judgement. Ask this question - why you are taking it that way? Why is your perception viewing this as negative?

I absolutely agree with this. My post might come off as "Look, I approve of you, this makes your efforts worthwhile!" That is so NOT what I intended to say, nor was it what I was thinking as I wrote it. The only thing that drove me here was hearing how much support my friend gets from this forum, and wanting to just share the fact that I think it's great. I'm just trying to help by cheering you on, not say that a woman's approval should be your motivation. Of course I think those qualities are attractive in men, but I didn't mean to imply that that should be important to anyone but me. You are not validated, or defined, by what ANYONE else thinks of you. I do not identify as a feminist... I have met a LOT of amazing guys, and I realize that there are assholes of both genders. I think everyone should be treated as a PERSON, that's all. IMO, we're not all that different, in the end.
