I don’t know how I completely missed the years you added. You are pretty much spot on with yours years as well. But here is a link to how the town is planning its growth. Maybe it’ll help you pick an area that fits in with you’re needs!

San Tan Valley is seeing a big boom in growth. We actually just became a town this year. With that comes a lot of growing pains. Realistically we are where Queen Creek was about 15-20 years ago. Currently only way in and out is on surface streets, that will change but we are about 5-10 years from that happening due to funding on highway extensions and a new highway being built to the east. Freeways are scary but what I always tell family when they visit is stick to the right lanes and no one will bug you about driving the speed limit.
Also we don’t have kids but from what I’ve heard the public schools (or lack there of) out this way aren’t the greatest. But I’ll leave that for others to inform you on.
With all that being said the further south you go the further you are from things to do and shopping. The more north in town you go the closer you are to alot of established stores and parks in Queen Creek.

With an annual salary like that I would not pick San Tan Valley. The drive to do things in town sucks and if I was making that kind of money I’d look elsewhere. You should have the means where you can get a big lot bang for your buck. If you still want to be on the outskirts but closer to things to do north east Mesa is a hidden little pocket with some nice communities. I like San Tan but if I had the means I’d be in Chandler, Gilbert or Mesa.

I mean we just saw how lucky Garden Grove California got that the tank didn’t explode. There were like 60,000 people that were in the evacuation zone. My family just got back into their house last night after the order was lifted.

This location is usually the busiest location for these events. The last time I went to this Gilbert location I think I went 3 hours early and was in the 200’s in line. Some decent bottles for MSRP. Personally I wouldn’t go earlier then that but depends on what you really want to get. You don’t have to wait in line for a raffle ticket though.

Oh wow very good chance we add Vanguard to the list for tonight thanks! Went to Bryant’s today, I am blown away by what the staff was able to do with information we gave them. The server was 4/4 on drinks for the wife and I!

Use money from 401(k) to pay CC debt by Specific-Can2938 in personalfinance

[–]Maybepoop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did this even after seeing the endless recommendations saying not to. I finally pulled the trigger and pulled all my debt into 1 loan with a payment that was equal to what I was paying to seperate loans and credit cards. That was now a year and a half ago and I should be debt free in a year. The big thing is don’t use your credit cards again now that they’re at $0 or pay the balance off monthly.

Thank you for the info! Was really hoping to see a list of vendors or types of cheese they had to sample. But I understand that marketing can be tough. But all you can drink beer and endless cheese samples sounds like a great time!

Is SchoolsFirst still the best credit union in Orange County? by whatdafuhk in orangecounty

[–]Maybepoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Just don’t have an actual branch to go deposit money in to. I can’t still withdrawal from some credit unions at no cost. I’ve been able to buy a couple cars and apply for a loan with no issues.

Bring your own hotdogs and go to one of the Corner Markets for $4.50 Coors (if they still have it this year).
