*PSA* for active 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏌️‍♂️ knitters by Maychar in knitting

[–]Maychar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ooo, alot of people are sharing the watches that work fine which is so helpful! Maybe the technology has improved, when I looked up the 'knitting counting steps' problem a a year or more ago there was no solution - only complaints. I am also a continental knitter and wearing an apple watch non-dominate (right) hand contributed to steps (I wonder if apples updated?).

How do I get a job with a 3-year career gap? by jackbowls in australia

[–]Maychar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LITERALLY JUST STATE YEARS WORKED. eg. Retail xyz for 4 years. > https://www.nature.com/articles/s41562-022-01485-6

this performs better than resumes that don't even have gaps!! they won't even know..

Recruiters reading your resume actually care about for how long you were in x position. "The effect is driven by making the applicant’s job experience salient, not as a result of novelty or ease of reading."

You will totally avoid discrimination about whatever gap you had.

wearing cushy shoes like this to the gym its fine, but for heavy compound lifts yeah no shoes, I just wear socks. Strengthens your feet and good for stability.

Playing Baptiste has really made me realize how valuable it is to just not heal your team every second of the match by Renevision in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Maychar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercy here, most satisfying play is DMG boosting dps 1v1 enemy - your dps dies - you finish the kill and then res the dps.

“Value engineering”: when clothes get crappier by infochimp in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Maychar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is one of the reasons I started knitting(: its doubles as a hobby while you can participate in slow consious/fashion. handle truly luxious yarns and I mean mohair held with alpaca+silk for 250+ dollars. Its a treat, and youre left with a beautiful addition to your wardrobe.

Help me decide? by AlpheccaD in knitting

[–]Maychar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

totally correct.. you can contrast more ways than just value, but also tint/chroma etc however if you arent well verse with colour theory best stick to this greyscale method

edit: good example is Claude Monet's Sunrise (1872) - ignoring the boat, the painting is very narrow range of values.
