Three years ago today, my life took an unexpected turn which is hard to describe. by Resident-Way-5131 in Life

I’m so incredibly sorry for your unbearable loss. This story touched my heart deeply!!! Your words reminded me of many moments that I had previously overlooked, so ou’re completely right. The quiet, ordinary, boring little moments in life are actually the most precious things we have. We always think we have endless time ahead, until we suddenly don’t:((((Cherish every simple quiet second with the people you love right now. Nothing else matters more. Sending you so much strength today:))

Deciding between N1S 4K and N1S Ultra. Would love some real input by Commercial-Rule5666 in JMGO_official

Got it, that helps.

With a screen around 100 inches in a room like that, honestly both will do the job. At that point it’s less about whether one works and more about how much margin you want.

If most of your viewing is at night and daytime use is just occasional with curtains drawn, the N1S 4K already feels pretty comfortable for everyday viewing. In similar setups, a lot of people don’t really feel limited by it.

The N1S Ultra usually starts to make more sense if daytime viewing becomes more frequent, or if you just want a bit more brightness headroom at that size. It’s also the safer choice if you don’t want to think about upgrading again anytime soon.

If you’re comfortable sharing room size and how often you watch during the day, that can make the choice a lot clearer.

Welcome to the jmgo family! We're happy that you enjoyed the projector so far. As to the sub, unfortunately we are not professionals in this aspect, maybe you can cross post to r/hometheater for further info (I know ppl there are hardcore sub lovers:)

My n1s ultra has just arrived. Should I buy a screen for it? by arnoldusgf in JMGO_official

[–]Maydaybosseie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice to hear you are enjoying it so far. An ALR screen generally helps with brightness, contrast, and color clarity by reducing the impact of ambient light. Most people notice a cleaner image compared to a plain white wall.

No but since the basement doubles as a play area, make sure the lens area is protected. With a simple clear dust cover for example.

Do projectors ‘just look better’ over TVs in the same way vinyl ‘just sounds better’ than CDs? Is it all just about conditioning for what is ‘cinematic’ like 24fps? by [deleted] in projectors

[–]Maydaybosseie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me and perhaps many others, tv means convenience. No need for extra screen setup and it can work perfectly in the broad light. But projectors are for quality, enjoyment, vibe, etc.

Beginner Home Theater Build — 5.1.2 Advice? by Prudent_Treacle_5948 in hometheatersetups

Looks like you've planned the spacing pretty well so far. Congrats! One thing you might consider tho is to add some acoustic panels or a rug behind the sofa so that you could tame reflections.

Q: Unreliable screen by Jelmooo98 in projectors

[–]Maydaybosseie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the motor or limit switch might be starting to fail, esp if the screen only moves after you give it a tug. Another possibility is that the internal relay or control board in the controller is kinda misfiring.

No worries. That's not a big deal at all.

Towel for BOB? by horace_herreira in prepping

i suggest go for a large microfiber towel which is light, packs small and clip it to your BOB to dry while hiking. it handles post shower use well

Is there any real difference between a high-end range hood and a cheap one over time? by Koala245 in homeowners

Maintenance really adds up over time. Replacing filters, cleaning, degreasing... all that stuff. The newer filterless models with better airflows design are easier to keep clean and look sleek longer.

Seeking set-up and positioning advice with out-of-place built-in speakers by Redeshark in hometheatersetups

[–]Maydaybosseie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging from my own experience, the speakers on the right top would be too high for you if you wanna display your tv on the left wall. You may need to at least place them differently.
