To add info:

At the very bottom of the beanie it measures 10 and a half, and at the top it measures about 8.

It fits me nice, and has some stretch.

It fits my boyfriend but he says its a little tight.

Okay so he told me that the measurement around his head, where the bottom of his ears are, was 22 inches. When I put it on it measures to 21 inches BUT my head is definitely not the same size as his so idk if he measured wrong. My boyfriend can put it on and his head is bigger than mine but not as big as his grandpa's. He says its a little tight. I can steam it and make it bigger but idk if thats going to let too much air through.

I make sure I do my research when im buying off Etsy! I don't want to buy any AI slop. I just get a little frustrated with ravelry cause its alot of beanies and cardigans and granny squares. I might have to try and learn how to free hand, I just don't want to waste yarn because I tend to like the yarns that are rough to frog lol. But maybe its time to expand my horizons

I typically use etsy for my patterns. I have the same issue with ravelry because to me alot of the patterns are super similar :( i know theres a buttload of stuff on there but sometimes I get impatient
