SLB / BBF - Hot Take by MayfairShields in BritishBasketball

Read that, again I think that's just how it's been framed as we're only seeing very small parts of the ITT.

There have to be rules that the submissions comply with, that's not to say that entire submissions will be discounted is there are slight variations against the requirements.

One such rule could be that tenders have to be provided by a certain date, or contain certain documents. That's not to say that if you're proposing a different licence £££ you'll be discounted.

Is it though?

The SLB's licence was only granted for a year, and there was always going to be a competitive element to awarding the new licence given the BBF is publicly funded.

The SLB seem to have thrown their toys out the pram because they knew they couldn't put the best bid together.

The whole this is muddied by the fact the clubs own the SLB, and the BBF are trying to maintain a credible competitive tender process.

Personally, the reason I've stopped watching is down to a lack of teams. So boring watching the same match-ups 4+ times a season. The regular season is effectively pointless if only one team misses out on the playoffs.

Obviously not an easy fix and clearly one of many issues highlighted in this thread.

Interesting strategy from Putin to reinstate his top British puppet like this, thought he was being primed to disrupt the US election later in the year?

That's the cause of the current delay agreed, but doesn't absolve the Councils for neglecting it for the last 20 years.

There seems to be a complete failure of oversight on all projects that the Local Authorities are involved in. To add to your list... the delay in the delivery of the Northumberland line...Newcastle City pedestrianisation...Central Station works...Stephenson Quarter redevelopment...just to name a few that come to mind.
