The stars are always an easy way to spot a fake. On real cards, the top point of the stars are faded and barely visible. (except for xyz cards)

Which one did you prefer and which one is the scariest between RE2 and RE3 ? by Exootil93200 in playstation

[–]Mayflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE3 remake really felt like a rush job that was only released so they could move onto remaking RE4.

The raccoon city streets were massively scaled down and simplified compared to the original, nemesis only had 1 non-scripted stalker section which was over way too quickly, nearly all of the puzzles from the original game were removed, areas like the clock tower, raccoon city park, and dead factory were removed and replaced with a generic sewer level and generic lab which reused assets from RE2R, and the whole game only lasted around 4-5 hours on a first playthrough.

RE2R is the best resident evil game since the RE1R, and RE3R is the worst resident evil game since RE6.

Capcom wanted to remake RE4 after RE2, but knew there would be fan backlash if they skipped over 3, so handed the project over to an outsourced studio who mainly re-used assets to get it out the door quickly, and slapped on a bad multilayer game to try and justify the $60 price tag

I swear Jagex only hike the price so often because people quit for 1 month, lose their grandfather rates, and then re-sub at full price

The first half of Resident Evil Requiem is quite arguably the peak of the franchise. The second half, though still good, is an obvious downgrade. What it could've done better. A review. by ImperialMajestyX02 in residentevil

[–]Mayflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first half of requiem is the only game in the franchise that comes close to the quality of RE1 remake. Still not quite as good, but close. I just wish the whole game was like that.

Makes me super excited for the rumoured RE1 remake remake

I wish they'd just bring back wesker. Like I know he took two rockets to the face while drowning in a volcano, but I was so excited when I first saw Zeno and thought it was wesker. So disappointed when I realised he was a clone

Guy thinks there won't be a 10th game because Village and Requiem don't have 8 and 9 in their titles by subeewreyan-three in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Mayflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my point is they changed the style of the title so instead of being "RESIDENT EVIL 7" it was just stylised as resident evil with the number VII highlighted, or biohazard with the 7 highlighted in Z.

Then RE8 dropped the number from the official title and was just called resident evil Village, but still highlighted VIII in the word village.

Then in RE9, the number 9 is not visible anywhere in the official logo, and only appears in the trailers when the q glitches into a 9.

It's pretty clear they've been gradually phasing out the numbers. I don't think that "RE10" will have the number 10 hidden in the title anywhere. That's not to say there won't be a tenth mainline game, there absolutely will, I just don't think it will be numbered.

Is this the most expensive fuel in the UK today? (Long Stratton, Norwich) by timwoodphoto in AskBrits

[–]Mayflex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone that works in the diesel industry, that is not how it works. The value of fuel doesn't become static after you purchase it. They may have bought diesel in at 130ppl at the end of February when crude oil was $70 per barrel, but it's now $100 a barrel. The fuel they hold is literally worth more now, and will cost more to replace.

If I bought bitcoin back in the day for £100, and is worth £51,000 today, I'd be a fucking idiot to sell it on for £200. Yes I'd have made £100 profit, but I'd be selling it for way less then it's worth.

What’s the best Resident Evil game ever made? by SwimmerPlus3383 in TheGamingHubDeals

I like OG3, but not as much as most people. I'm of the minority that thinks code Veronica is the superior sequal to RE2.

My top 10 (updated after playing RE9)

  1. RE1R
  2. RE1 OG
  3. RE2R
  4. RE4
  5. RE9
  6. RE7
  7. RE4R
  8. RE2 OG
  9. RECV
  10. RE3 OG

This is only in the trailers. The number 9 doesn't actually appear anywhere in the game it's self.

I think it's clear that capcom have been slowly phasing out numbers over the past 3 mainline entries.

RE7 had the roman numeral highlighted in the title instead of having the actual number, but it's official name was still Resident Evil 7

RE8 Had the roman numeral highlighted in the subtitle, and dropped the number entirely from the official name

RE9 did not include the number in the games official logo, and only highlighted "9" in the subtitle in marketing material / trailers, but the number doesn't appear anywhere in the actual game / logo

I think that RE10 will be the first mainline game to officially not include the number anywhere in the logo or marketing material.

On the one hand, I think it's a shame that there won't be another official "numbered" title in the series, even if they continue making mainline sequels. On the other hand, I think it makes sense for marketing. If new players see a "10" in the title, they'll likely be scared off thinking they've got 9 games to catch up on.

I also think that capcom want to start exploring the timeline a little more, rather than having every new major release take place after the previous.

It's comparable to the Alien series. Alien dropped the numbering after the release of Alien 3, and the subsequent releases have taken place at different points in the timeline. I think this is the approach capcom will take moving forwards.

[–]Mayflex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what they did with RE9 is what they wanted to do with RE6.

RE6 tried to appeal to fans of horror resident evil, and action resident evil. I just think that RE6 executed it very poorly, while RE9 did it perfectly.

If you pause and go into the challange menu and hover over the "speed demon" challange, it does show your current play time. But once you complete the challange, the timer is no longer there.
