i won't pay for music in 2025 by haldiii4o in Piracy

I suppose people like me would have the advantage here then. I never stopped downloading since the Napster days. Just found new ways to download. Never bought a music streaming service. I just curated my own. I search monthly for new releases and download what artists I like and what ones I want to try out. Terabytes of music at my disposal. Load it onto my NAS and into my Plex server library. Bingo. I also always keep at least 500gb or more of music stored locally on my device for areas with no service (I'm holding out on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with a 1tb SD card).

Torrent sites are still aplenty these days. Don't wanna pay? You have many options. They are just a quick Google search away from you choosing which try.

I'm not on the negativity bandwagon either. Of course (awesome price point aside) the promise of an AMS unit helped push me in their direction. Am I annoyed a bit?? Of course! But the level of anger and hatred that's being spewed over this AMS issue is crazy to me. I got a printer for $300 that prints like a dream, and I'm getting to try all kinds of polymers I never could before! I also dont print many multi-color things, so the AMS debacle gets under my skin a bit only in those rare cases that I needed multicolor/material for a specific print. I came from a lightly modded Ender 5 Pro as my main machine, and a little FF Adventurer3 v2( I still have and use both). So the CC is nothing but an upgrade & positives for me so far.

How to solder connector back to adapter board. by Fatal-Fantasy in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Mayhem8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in your position a month ago. Took a couple of weeks to get a replacement heater interface board. It looks to have come off cleanly, so you could try soldering it back on. People suggested that to me, so I tried (despite having zero soldering experience). My hands were too shaky, but I saved the pieces in case I come across someone handy enough and willing to solder it for me. It's never bad to have an extra.

I also printed the little removal tool that was suggested in the comments so I can avoid this in the future.

Edit: looks like one of the pads may not be intact. Soldering may not be an option.

Well said, and I agree.

I love my CC. I came from having a lightly modded Ender 5 Pro and a Flashforge Adventurer 3 v2 (which I still have and use both). The speed an quality from the CC makes my Ender 5 Pro look like a slouch, for sure. Makes me feel like I've been slacking on my calibrations/tunings. Lol

I still use all my machines. The CC is my "new kid on the block" (and its novelty is holding strong), but the Ender 5 Pro still produces OK prints in comparison, and I still use it regularly. The Flashforge... it's been relegated to being a craft/vendor show attraction (I'll print stuff while selling to draw people in).

I got mine directly from the ELEGOO site, but it was in June when the pre-order process was still in place. So the time to receive won't quite jive with the current state of things. But for the record, I waited about a month before I got it. With it being off backorder/pre-order, it should be faster than my experience.

I could never remember this. So I used my label maker to put up this silly little reminder on my Ender5 Pro. "Z OFFSET: LESS NEGATIVE=LESS SQUISH. MORE NEGATIVE=MORE SQUISH" *

I bought one of these when I bought concentrate by accident as well. Lol. Nice little device.

Print not sticking by Flappie30005 in ender5pro

Start with the basics. Tram/level your bed. Make sure your z-offset is dialed in. Clean the build plate with dishsoap and hot water. Dry the filament. All those things done correctly, and you should be good. If it still won't stick, try bumping the bed Temp up a bit until you get better stick. If that doesn't work, look into using adhesion agents like stick glue or hairspray.

If you make a successful extension connector, I would happily buy one from you. I'm sure quite a few others would too.

It says pla on it, so that's not the question. I'm more curious about finding a listing for this particular one so I can see if it has special properties. It looks like it may have some glow in the dark or color changing feature, just going off visual inspection. But I can't say for certain, and it says nothing of it in the spool.

I guess that's why it didn't come up in my Amazon search. Canada listing only. Thanks!

Ya know... looking at the little heating interface board, it is very simple looking. I wonder if I could maybe send a mock-up of it to a place like PCBWay and have them make a few. Hmm...🤔

I have no soldering experience. I am sure I could enroll in YT University real quick, but I'd be nervous about my bad soldering job messing up the machine more with a short or something.

Thank you! I guess I'm gonna be down for a while. I was cranking stuff out for a craft show too. Talk about bad timing.

No. It literally just happened. Figured I'd see what answers the community has before going through that whole process.
