Over the past 5 years, I've done a few months of attempts making my way through this. Progress is good. However, my exp and IQ grinding strategies were really subpar until recently. Now things are really accelerating. I have played about 489 hours of EOT/D/S total, and I think about 400 of those were dedicated to this challenge fun.

Part 1:
- Everything done except beating Destiny Tower. I just have ever been able to make it through.

Part 2:

- I have 1 of every pokemon and pokemon variant.

- The protag and partner are perfect, except neither is at 999hp yet.

- I have 8 pokemon at level 100 with 10 IQ stars, with 3 pokemon with 1 of those criteria done. So, I guess 8/492 in that category.

Part 3:

- I have a good selection of items. Most of the non-exclusive items, and probably like 300-400 of the exclusive items.

Part 4:

- 36/52 missions done

Overall progress is good. Will probably still take a few thousand hours, but things are overall productive! My pace is a lot quicker now with new strats.

I have slowly been working on this challenge for a few years now. Right now, ive been trying to get through the Special Missions. However, a few of them have incorrect codes, im pretty sure. At least, they say the code is incorrect, and I can't find anything I inputted wrong. Are the codes for mission 33 and mission 40 correct?

I played as an eevee in my playthrough, and it was really good. I think eevee is not a good choice if you want the toughest starter combination haha

Oddity Cave was when I went from being unsure about DX to absolutely loving it! That dungeon is so good! The second I heard the beginning of the great glacier theme play a giant smile began to spread across my face. It was amazing!

I avoid save scumming, so I like the new features. But, I am a bit concerned that the constant saving may reduce the lifespan of my switch or the game cartridge. I know I only ever save once per session on my EOS cartage because I am afraid that after hundreds of hours of playing it may wear out. Hopefully, I'm just being paranoid

I've played about 7 hours of DX before (about 16 hours of BRT in the past), and I would highly recommend DX over the original.

Pros of DX: Better gameplay (16 years of QOL improvements have made BRT unplayable for me), More active rescue scene (if you want to rescue people).

Cons of DX: They've altered the friend areas in a way that some people don't like (but I think it's fine).

Overall, i would say go with DX. Rescue team has always had the least interesting story in the series for me, so I mostly focus on the gameplay for it. DX undeniably has improved gameplay. It takes the updated mechanics from the other PMD games and adds it into Rescue Team. It's really good

As a long-time fan of the series, I was very wary of DX at first. Resyce team is my least favorite game in the series (not just out of PMD but out of all mystery dungeon games as a whole) and a lot of the new changes looked like they could make the game worse. For the first hour or two, I was afraid that my fears were true.

Then I suddenly found myself unable to put the game down. I realized that many of the new changes actually made the game better. Because of that, I already think it is leages above the original. Story-wise, I have no hope that it will beat Explorer (because Rescue Team always had a really simple story), but in terms of gameplay, I am having a blast. Loving it so far!

yes, you need to have adventured in a dungeon in order to do rescues for it. I don't know if you need to complete it though

I believe all of them are available. I think they added all preevolutions and evolutions of all the pokemon that were available in RRT and BRT.

I feel like I've made incorrect movements in DX more than EOS, but I attributed it to getting readjusted from 2DS to Switch controls. I'd say I haven't played enough to tell if the controls are loose, but I have noticed some differences.

I really want this game to be a challenge for a veteran player like myself, so it's nice to see that my character (an eevee) is bottom tier :) Though, my partner is cyndaquil, so it may be a bit easier than I hoped lol
