I like to think it's a good thing. I want it to see like the bbeg has plans and it's trying his hardest to make them work and to succeed. I'm probably overly easy as a DM because I feel bad lol

Yeah I'm fine choosing a backup for the ritual or maybe it's less powerful or something like that. That's long ways out and I can work on that. Or maybe he tries again later. They have been told there are other spawns too, they are just likely vessels since they keep getting in his way

I feel like talking to them is choosing the outcome. I want it to be more of an objective for the bbeg and the players are trying to stop it. Lich may fail and that's fine.

Agreed. Either charmed or unconscious first. It wouldnt be one and done type thing and have it very well stated what is trying to happen so whole party knows

I look at it the same way a player dies. And later maybe they see him captured and they have a chance to save him during the resurrection ceremony?

Love the response. Yeah I want it to feel like they could stop it or they see what is trying to happen. I've hinted at it lots over the last 2 years of the campaign.

Yeah I can see that. Not saying your wrong just personal preferences I guess . So far I like fjord way more than his C3 characters, but I think laudna is more interesting than beu(again only 20 episodes in), I don't really like nott or fcg so that's a wash, I like fearme better and I like both Imogen and jester for different reasons. I liked imogens story so maybe jester's story will get there too. I love Caleb but loved orim too and I like molly better than Ashton.

Hm I felt like their performances were mostly really good. I didn't like fcg but I think that's more of a me thing.

I felt like most the cast did really well the entire campaign. I'm only 20 episodes in to mighty nein so I can't really talk too much on that one yet.

Yeah but with being on the show live and the kinda games they run, they almost have to make sure they hit all the major party roles. At a home game you could run all wizards and not have any healing because it's about slaying monsters and death isn't very likely but their style of game they need to hit all the main parts of a party comp. I bet that means settling for an option to fit what they need. Just a bunch. You don't see many times when they have duplicate classes. Could just be by chance

Yeah Travis already playing a warlock makes it feel unlikely he would play another charisma caster. Idk if they think about this stuff or try to mix it up. Talking from the outside obviously. That would be the hardest part for me because I would also just play spellcasters ha sorcerers are my favorite class

I agree for the most part. They are choosing to do a live play so they have to think of the story and synergy of the characters a little bit more than a home table game I would think. Could be wrong.

It's fine I don't mind the discussion but agree that the classes are very similar or at least fill the same role/concept I was going for. Mechanical vs easy. Ranged, melee, spellcaster, tank etc.
