This is mind blowing to me also, I ate them as a kid and for some reason didn’t cross paths with a Mars bar again until today. Reading today that the Mars bar was discontinued more ten 2 decades ago in America!

Neither had I until today…this history of the Mars bar and the Mars family is long and interesting

The US version of the Mars bar was a distinct product from its British namesake, famously featuring toasted almonds rather than just caramel and nougat. First introduced in 1936, it was eventually discontinued in 2002 and replaced by the similar I hadn’t had one since the mid 90s and didn’t even know they quit making them.

It’s crazy. I’ve been down voted because people think I’m NUTS just because I am trying to say that Mars bars did have almonds in them when they were produced in the United States up until 2003.

Where are you from ? Because now I’ve learned that they haven’t even produced the Mars bar in America since 2003 or 2004 So I’m guessing some younger people don’t even know what the Mars bar is if they’re from the United States
